This is a short meditation to unwind from the past week or day and enjoy the weekend. It is ideal for every level and it includes short breathing exercises and affirmations. Just find 5 minutes at the end of each day or before weekend to reflect on your week/ day and move with a clear mind and a grateful heart.

Welcome.

This practice is ideal when you have time to relax and unwind.

Ideal for the weekend or any time that you return from work or from a long day.

Sit in a comfortable position,

In a pillow or in a chair if that's better for you today.

Close your eyes and your lips softly.

Breathe in.

One more time,

Breathe in.

Let go of everything that happened the past week or during your day.

Focus on here and now.

Appreciate the time you devoted today to yourself and exploit it to the fullest.

This is your time to relax.

This is your time to do nothing but hear my voice.

Take one deep breath and with the exhale just let everything that happened this week on the side for now.

Free time is a luxury on our days and we should protect it.

Sometimes you really need to plan your free time to make it work.

It's important to devote time to relax not only physically but mentally too.

Stay in stillness for a bit and enjoy the silence.

The sound of your thoughts might be loud.

All you need to do is embrace them and just let the thoughts go.

With the next deep breath think of one positive thing that happened this week.

Something that made you happy or improved your mood.

It could be something so simple like the cup of coffee a kind waiter served you or a nice moment with your friends and family.

Whatever this moment is bring it to your mind and express gratitude for that.

Try to find something good in every week,

In every day if possible and focus on that.

Now take one more deep breath and exhale from your mouth with a slight sigh.

Imagine that with each exhale you are releasing any tension.

Inhale,

Exhale.

One more inhale,

Exhale.

And one last inhale,

Exhale.

Focus on your breath,

Clear your mind and leave all thoughts behind.

If something is coming just accept it,

Embrace it and let it go.

You will deal with it later.

This time is for you to empty from any concerns and leave a space to welcome new thoughts,

Creativity and tranquility.

Now start to feel the parts in your body that touch the ground.

It might be your sitting bones,

Your knees,

Your feet,

Whichever part touches the ground.

Feel the connection with the earth,

How does it feel.

Take one more deep breath and gently open your eyes.

You are all set to enjoy your weekend or the rest of your day.

Whatever you do,

Make some free time to relax,

Unwind and cherish a mindful moment.

Be present and enjoy the day.
