Welcome to the space of rest.
Let the body find a comfortable position.
Adjusting pillows,
Shifting your body around to find a sense of comfort,
To feel the weight of your body sinking into the bed.
Let your physical self take up all the space you need.
Breathing in fully through the nose,
Expanding the belly,
A soft sigh carrying away the weight of the day.
You are here.
There is only this stillness.
You have done everything you can do today.
You are enough.
You have done enough.
Trusting in the body's ability to breathe all on its own.
Right now,
There is nothing to do.
There is nowhere to go.
You are where you need to be right now.
Allowing your body to sink into your bed.
Allowing yourself to feel as though you are sinking down,
Down,
Deeper into the bed with every exhale.
Within the mind's eye,
Imagining a sacred box,
Perhaps a wooden chest,
Or a container,
Or a box.
This container is strong,
Secure,
And built for peace.
Imagine placing all of your thoughts,
All your memories,
Anything that is left over from today,
Into this container.
Perhaps noticing worries about tomorrow,
Or to-do lists,
Placing them one by one into the container,
Closing the lid of the container,
Allowing this container to drift to a far corner or just float away into the background of your mind.
You can come to it later.
Right now,
Your mind is free.
You are allowed to feel relaxed.
May you grant yourself permission to be fully here,
Right now,
In the comfort of your bed.
With each exhale,
Your muscles release.
With each inhale,
Your body stretches,
Loosens,
And softens.
Noticing the silence,
The silence carries these truths,
I am enough,
This day is complete.
Worth is inherent,
Not earned.
You may grant yourself permission to let go.
You did the best that you could today,
And now the day is over.
There is always another day,
And your existence is the only thing that's important right now.
Continuing to allow the body to breathe all on its own,
There is nothing for you to do,
There is nowhere for you to go.
May you allow yourself to fully be here,
To feel the weight of the blankets,
Allowing the weight of your head to sink down into your pillow,
Allowing each muscle in your body to let go,
Neither holding on to the past or reaching to the future,
Just letting go.
With each inhale,
Your body softens.
With each exhale,
Allow yourself to be,
Letting the sounds and the music to wash over your senses,
Just like a heavy blanket,
Allowing this music and sound,
As you feel the weight of your eyes closing,
Feeling the weight of your body pulling down,
In a comfortable stillness.
Continuing to fully breathe,
Allowing your body to breathe on its own,
You are enough.
You will feel rejuvenated.
