I'm Jocelyn.
This is the third in a series of quick body scans meant to bring presence into our body,
To build trust with our body,
And to begin the conversations with our body.
This is a body scan of some of the major organs in your body.
Those organs that are doing the work to keep you alive and nourish this body.
So just bringing your awareness inward and resting it on your breath.
Just witnessing the wave of inhalation and exhalation.
These body scans are not about judging.
They're not about shaming.
It's about discernment,
Acceptance of where our body is in this moment.
We're not trying to change anything.
So just witness your breath in and out.
And as I walk your awareness around the different organs in the body,
Just be open to the sensations that you're experiencing.
We'll be going through this quite quickly.
This is only a quick check-in.
And we'll start with inviting your awareness to the brain.
The organ of the brain.
Just allowing your awareness to settle inside your skull,
Around the organ of the brain.
What sensations are present emotionally,
Physically,
Energetically here at the brain?
Allowing your awareness to move toward the heart now.
All sides of the heart.
The front,
Back,
Side,
Top and bottom of the organ of the heart.
What sensations are present here at the heart?
Allowing your awareness to travel around the lungs.
Both lungs,
The front,
Sides and backs of these lungs.
What sensation is present as you allow your awareness to settle across the lungs?
Allowing your awareness to spread across the stomach,
The organ of the stomach.
Noticing any sensations,
Emotional,
Energetic,
Physical,
That are present here at the stomach.
Inviting your awareness to move all across the organs involved with digestion and filtration.
The liver.
What sensations are present at the liver here?
The gallbladder.
Noticing what sensations are present when your awareness lays across the organs of digestion and filtration.
Allowing your awareness to settle across the small intestines,
Large intestines,
Colon.
All of those pathways.
What sensations are present here in the gut of your body?
Allowing your awareness to move toward the pelvic region.
All the reproductive organs in your body.
Allowing your awareness to blanket over the reproductive organs in your body.
What sensations are present here?
Allowing your awareness to settle across your skin of the largest organs.
Really allowing your awareness to settle all across the skin on your body.
What sensations are present for you with your skin?
Allow yourself to take a nice deep breath,
Inhaling.
Opening your mouth and sighing out.
Giving yourself a bit of gratitude for showing up for your organs,
For your body,
For being present,
For building this trust and being here without judgment.
