I invite you to find a comfortable position,
Sitting upright or lying down,
And gently begin to close down the eyes,
And bring your awareness to the natural rise and fall of your breath.
With every inhale,
Invite ease,
And with every exhale,
Release any tension.
And begin to take a long,
Slow breath in through the nose,
And a gentle sigh out through the mouth.
And again,
Inhale deeply,
And exhale fully.
Allow your face to relax,
Allow your shoulders to melt,
Let your jaw unclench,
And let your breath become a little softer.
And together we're going to do a body scan,
Cultivating love for the entire body.
So I'd like you to bring awareness to your feet,
And feel them connected to the ground.
And start to bring love to your feet,
Everywhere they've carried you,
All the places they've taken you,
Every step,
Every stumble,
Every bold move.
And repeat,
Thank you feet,
I send you love.
Now moving your awareness up to your legs,
And acknowledging the strength in them,
The way they've supported you,
Even on days when you felt like collapsing.
Thank you legs,
I send you love.
And bringing your focus up to your hips,
And your pelvis,
The place that holds emotion,
Power,
And creativity.
Sending some softness here.
Thank you hips,
I send you love.
And bringing your awareness up to your stomach,
The place where your intuition guides you.
Thank you stomach,
I send you love.
And now moving up to your chest,
And your heart,
And acknowledging the parts of you that have been broken,
Open,
And stretched.
The place that keeps beating,
Even when you're tired.
Thank you heart,
I send you love.
Now moving to your shoulders,
For everything you've carried,
Even when it wasn't yours to hold.
Thank you shoulders,
I send you love.
Now bringing your awareness into your arms,
And down into your hands.
All the creating,
The holding,
The reaching,
And the letting go.
Thank you hands,
I send you love.
And now moving upwards,
The neck,
And the jaw,
For all the truth you've spoken,
And for all the words you've held back.
Thank you neck,
Thank you jaw,
I send you love.
And finally,
Bringing your awareness into your whole face,
For all of its expressions.
The laughter,
The smiles,
The tears,
The confusion,
The frowns.
Thank you face,
I send you love.
Now taking a deep breath,
And sending love into the entire body,
From head to toe.
And this body of yours has never given up on you,
And it deserves your love,
Every day.
I'd like you to picture a warm light flowing in the centre of your chest,
And each inhale brightens it,
And each exhale allows it to spread across the whole body.
And seeing this warm light,
As pure self love,
Unconditional,
Non-judgmental.
And I'd like you to softly repeat,
I send love to my body,
I send love to my life,
I send love to myself,
Just as I am.
And just taking one last deep breath,
And holding it on the inhalation.
And when you feel ready,
You can release with a deep sigh.
And just remembering that self love is a practice,
And the more often you visit it,
The more familiar it will become.
And I invite you to carry this warmth into your day,
And so whenever you're ready,
You can gently start to open your eyes.
