I invite you to find a quiet space where you can just be.
And when you're ready gently close down your eyes.
Take a long slow breath in through the nose and a deep exhalation through the mouth.
Again inhale deeply and exhale fully.
Allow your shoulders to melt away from your ears and let your belly soften.
Allow your face to relax and feel the corners of your mouth unclench.
There's nothing to plan,
Nothing to fix,
No future to chase,
Just this breath,
Just this moment.
And I'd like you to repeat softly in your mind,
I am here in this moment,
I am here in this moment.
I have nowhere to be,
I soften into presence,
I soften into presence.
Now I'd like you to imagine yourself walking barefoot through a wide open field where the grass is tall and golden and the sun hangs low in the sky,
Creating a warm honey-like glow,
The kind of light that allows you to slow down.
And each step is gentle and the ground is soft beneath your feet.
And you're not walking towards anything,
You're simply moving with yourself,
With your breath,
With your rhythm.
There's no one else around,
No noise,
No pressure,
No shoulds,
Just this quiet moment of stillness,
Just for you.
And you decide to stop walking and without any hesitation you lie down amongst the tall,
Warm grass and your back melts into the soft earth beneath you and it feels supported,
You feel held,
Your arms fall open as you spread out your fingertips.
And your chest rises and falls with ease,
Your face turns upward receiving the warmth of the sun,
Golden,
Gentle,
Like a blessing.
You feel the warm breeze trace along your collarbones,
The scent of the wildflowers and for the first time in a very long time you feel completely still,
Not waiting,
Not reaching,
Not rushing,
Just resting.
Being and belonging.
And you realise in this moment that life doesn't always need to be productive,
Doesn't always need to be planned and it doesn't have to lead anywhere.
It's allowed to just be this.
Let yourself take a deep breath and really arrive in your body in this stillness,
Letting go of the need to perform,
Letting go of the urge to figure it all out.
Let yourself just rest here,
Without apology.
And when you're ready,
Slowly let your breath come back into focus.
Feel the sensations of your breath moving in and out,
Slow,
Steady and grounded.
And let it remind you that you are alive right now.
Place one hand over your heart and one hand on your belly and really feel your own aliveness.
The rhythm,
The warmth,
The truth.
How does it feel to be alive?
And softly repeat,
I am here in this moment.
I am here in this moment.
I have nowhere to be.
I have nowhere to be.
I soften into presence.
I soften into presence.
Take one final deep breath in through your nose and exhale through your mouth with a sigh.
Ah,
Breathing into that aliveness.
When you feel ready,
You can gently start to blink your eyes open,
Bringing your awareness back into the room whilst carrying this presence with you.
