Welcome love to this five minute guided mudra meditation.
Mudras are symbolic and ritualistic hand gestures,
Evoking and connecting us with a certain energy.
I personally love mudras because they can help you create a certain mood,
Connect you with higher states of being,
Love,
Truth and they are also an extension from your heart as they are performed with your hands and in the yogic traditions the hands are the organs of action from your heart.
And today we will do Abhyaya Hudaya Mudra which is also,
Which can be translated as the courageous heart mudra or the fearless heart seal mudra.
Then all you need to do for this is cross your wrists so that the outsides of your hand are touching one another and you hook your pinkies,
You hook your middle finger and you hook your index fingers and then you'll bring your ring fingers and your thumbs together.
And now just allow your hands to rest gently against your heart.
And I wanna say a few words before we start.
It takes a lot of courage to show up for yourself,
For your people,
For your loved ones,
For your community,
For the earth and even for the world.
Especially these days where we are meeting so many people with their hearts closed.
So this courage to show up for yourself and for others can only come from a place of love.
And cultivating this place of love as a daily practice.
And it all starts with devoting yourself to self-love in a peace and harmony,
Kindness and forgiveness.
And it really starts right here in your own heart center.
So let's start with this meditation and just allow your eyes to gently close.
And I invite you to start tuning into your body,
Feeling the length of your spine,
Feeling the volume of your belly,
Your buttocks touching the surface you're sitting on and also feeling your hands shaped in this mudra,
Touching your chest in the area of the heart.
And I invite you to just be curious to receive any sensations,
Activations that are starting to awaken and arise.
And I also invite you to incorporate the flow of your breath into your awareness with each exhalation letting go and surrendering a little deeper into the space of the heart.
Just taking tiny,
Tiny steps towards the heart with each exhalation.
Inhaling,
Breathing in into the space of your heart,
The front of your heart,
The back of your heart,
The side of your heart,
The other side of your heart and just arriving back into the center of your heart and just feel how the breath is expanding,
Extending the space of the heart.
And what you're truly doing is you're breathing into your heart's capacity,
The strength,
The bold,
The fears,
The bravery,
The kind,
The compassion,
The forgiveness,
The love,
The true powers of your courageous heart that have gotten you to this place where you are today.
So I invite you to just stay with all these sensations for some more moments and allowing your body to soften,
Noticing the gradual natural opening and expansion of the heart,
How the breath is supporting you to dissolve any limitations and inviting you to fully rest in the infinite space of the heart,
The true depth of your being.
And I invite you to tune in a little deeper into the mudra,
Noticing the subtle flow of the energies.
Maybe you perceive a soft tingling in your fingers,
But just how they are entangling,
Integrating lovingly,
Softly and gently into themselves.
Just drop into this sense of wholeness right there at your heart,
Resting in this infinite space of the heart,
Feeling the soft and gentle beating of your heart,
The natural flow of life force running through your being,
Dropping deeper into this infinite space of the heart,
This vast ocean of vibrantly alive stillness and silence.
Allow for this energy to solidify itself gently,
Gradually in your being,
Fully grounding yourself in this vast ocean of vibrantly alive stillness and silence,
Surrendering fully into the loving infinite space of the heart,
Finding refuge in the compassionate courage of the heart,
Resting more and more in the pauses in between the breath,
Feeling your heart expand,
Grow and compassing your entire body and all of your surroundings and ultimately the entire cosmos.
Take a deep breath into your heart and now just sip in a little more air and hold it for a moment,
Feeling this expansion aliveness,
Stillness of the heart.
And now gently sigh it out,
Sending the energy of love,
Courage,
Compassion,
Forgiveness,
Strength,
Fierceness back out into the world and back down into the earth.
And whenever you feel ready you can gently flicker your eyes back open again,
Welcoming and receiving the spaces around you,
Remaining soft and open,
Connected to the heart.
And you can slowly entangle your fingers,
Just allowing them to rest in your lap or on your legs for some moments.
Just resting in the echoes of this meditation.
And I invite you to remember as you move about your day to meet each person,
Each object,
Each space from this place of your courageous heart,
Inviting all beings into this infinite space of the heart,
The essence of all existence.
