Abundance through Gratitude The purpose of this meditation is to cultivate an attitude of gratitude.

An attitude of gratitude is the gateway to abundance.

When you live in gratitude,

You are open to fully experiencing the resources,

Relationships,

And experiences you are grateful for.

You recognize that life overflows with abundance,

And you find yourself naturally sharing abundance with others.

So please join me in an experience of abundance through gratitude now.

Find a quiet,

Private environment,

And sit comfortably upright,

With the soles of your feet flat on the ground and parallel with each other.

Rest your hands,

Palms cupped in your lap,

In a receptive posture,

One resting in the other,

With the tips of your thumbs touching lightly.

Soften and relax your hands.

Lightly,

Close your eyes.

Take a moment to check in inside.

Notice and acknowledge how you feel right now.

Allow yourself to be just as you are.

To prepare for this practice,

Call to mind an intention for this meditation.

Why is this important to you?

Consider dedicating this practice to the well-being of all beings.

Call to mind one thing you feel grateful for in your life.

Smile and feel grateful for this.

Now,

Simply follow along as I guide you on a journey of gratitude.

If your mind wanders,

Or if any other thoughts,

Feelings,

Or sensations arise,

Including resistance,

That's okay.

Just recognize whatever comes up.

Mindfully,

As best as you can,

Non-judgmentally,

And then return to following along with the guided practice.

Now,

Focus down into your feet,

And feel the sensations of the soles of your feet on the ground.

Feel down into the grounded presence of the earth.

Say thank you to the earth for supporting you here,

Now.

Allow your feet and toes to soften and relax,

As if they are melting down into the grounded presence of the earth.

Allow any tension,

Worry,

Or concern to wash down through your legs,

Down through your feet,

And down.

Thank your feet and the earth for grounding you in this present moment,

For giving you firm ground to stand on.

Now,

Allow your feet and toes to soften and relax,

As if they are melting down into the grounded presence of the earth.

Appreciate your feet for helping you stand,

Walk,

And move through life with stability,

Balance,

And grace,

Either physically or symbolically.

If any of those things have been challenging to do,

Appreciate moments when you have been able to be present.

Take a stand and move through life's challenges.

Take a few moments to smile and feel grateful for your feet and the experiences they represent.

Now,

Focus into your hands and fingers,

And notice any sensations here.

Allow your hands and fingers to soften,

Open,

And relax even more.

Enjoy the feeling of soft openness and receptivity in your hands.

Appreciate what your hands enable you to do.

Your hands help you to care for your body.

Interact with material objects,

Write,

Type,

Touch,

Hug,

Hold hands,

And sense.

Your hands represent your heart in action.

They enable you to engage in loving actions and make purposeful contributions.

Appreciate how your hands help you care for yourself,

Others,

And tend to positive purposes in the world.

Take a few moments to smile and feel grateful for your hands,

Your heart,

And the experiences they represent.

Now,

Imagine a string attached to the top of your head,

Drawing your spine gently upright.

Allow the top of your head,

Center of your brain,

And forehead to soften and relax.

Feel into the sensations in your head.

Your head represents your mind's ability to pay attention,

Consciously focus attention,

Observe,

Imagine,

Intuit,

Organize,

And see the bigger picture.

Appreciate the ways you are able to use your mind.

Take a few moments to smile and feel grateful for your head,

Your mind,

And the experiences they represent.

Now,

Feel your body as a whole from the inside.

Feel the entire space inside your skin.

Allow your whole body to soften and relax so you sense a light,

Tingling sense of aliveness in every cell of your whole body.

Your body is a vehicle for your soul's journey here on earth.

It is an infinitely intelligent,

Self-healing,

Self-guiding system,

Empowered with the life energy of the source of life.

Take a few moments to appreciate how your body takes care of respiration,

Circulation,

Digestion,

Immune response,

And thousands upon thousands of other vital functions 24-7 without your conscious awareness.

Appreciate how your body sends you signals in sensations,

Emotions,

And inspirations that guide you on your path.

Take a few moments to smile and feel grateful for this amazing vessel for your life journey.

Now,

Expand your gratitude outwards to the environment you are in that is providing you a sacred space to be here now.

Smile and feel grateful for the different spaces you call home and work,

And any other spaces that bring you the many and varied experiences that make up your life.

Focus especially on any spaces that have brought you joyful experiences.

What are some of your favorite spaces?

Smile as you feel gratitude for these spaces.

Smile and feel gratitude for other people and pets in your life,

All those who are participating with you on this life journey.

Appreciate those who support you,

And even those who give you a hard time.

Every one of us is part of this grand play of growing in love and awareness.

All of us are learning and growing together.

Take a few moments to smile and feel grateful for the infinite and mysterious ways we are all connected,

Learning,

And growing.

Imagine all beings,

All the elements,

The whole planet,

And the entire universe in the vast web of life.

Appreciate the infinite diversity of life and how each being plays a vital role in the vast web of life.

Appreciate how this planet provides everything we need.

Appreciate the soil that provides food,

The life-sustaining oxygen,

The water that fills your body that you drink and wash in,

And the sun's rays that provide energy and warmth.

Take a few moments to smile and feel gratitude for this magnificent universe and all its majestic beauty and incomprehensible expansiveness.

And finally,

Recognize the infinite source that lies beyond,

Around,

Within,

And through every aspect of this one life we all share.

Take a few moments to smile and feel grateful for the unfathomable mystery of intelligence,

Love,

And grace that is the wellspring of life.

Smile and be grateful for the one who is aware of all these experiences,

The one who is aware of the gift of this life,

The vast,

Boundless awareness you are.

Be thankful for the vast,

Boundless awareness you are.

Rest in gratitude.

Rest in gratitude.

Feel the sensation of gratitude in every cell.

Record gratitude deeply so you can remember it,

Bring it with you,

Share it with others,

And return to it often.

Slowly,

Very slowly,

Begin to open your eyes and take in the feeling of the space around you,

Together with the space inside,

As one sacred space of grateful awareness.

Feel the sensation of gratitude in every cell with your eyes open.

Take the feeling of gratitude with you wherever you go.

Know that gratitude is the key to experiencing,

Expanding,

And sharing abundance in every area of life.
