Oh human,
Why do you keep losing yourself in the crowd?
This race to get everything,
This frenzy to be first,
From where did it arise inside you?
Look,
Your head has fallen into your palm under the weight of worry.
Your eyes watching scenes from an imagined world have grown sorrowful and sunk into hollows.
Your hands made idle by the burden of desires,
Your feet steeled by the flights of dreams.
Why torment yourself with refusal of what is real,
With tension of behind with the pressure of ahead.
What is yours will come in its time and within your capacity.
To hope before time,
To demand beyond capacity is futile.
Be patient,
Do not feed greed.
Receive yourself as you are,
Fully.
Understand yourself deeply,
Taste contentment there and peace will happen within you.
Use your whole strength and joy will rise from it.
Love yourself and ease will come,
Love others and simplicity will come.
Do not carry the past on your head,
Do not carry the world of imagination either.
Set them down,
Free yourself from both and let peace descend quietly into your inner home.
