Take a moment to settle in,

Lying on your back with your legs extended and gently apart.

Allow your arms to rest naturally by your sides.

Feel the weight of your body supported by the surface beneath you.

And when you're ready,

Gently close your eyes.

Notice the natural rhythm of your breath,

Feeling the steady rise and fall of your chest grounding you in this moment.

Now draw your attention inward.

Notice if there is something in your heart or on your mind,

A worry,

A thought or perhaps a feeling that you're ready to release.

Simply let whatever needs to be released come forward on its own.

Hold it in your awareness with kindness and without judgment,

Knowing that as this practice unfolds there will be space for you to let it go.

Take a moment now to reflect on what's present for you.

We now begin to gently rotate your awareness through the different parts of your body.

Notice the coolness of the air entering your nostrils.

And as you exhale,

Feel your body gently releasing into the surface beneath you.

Simply observe without trying to change your breath in any way.

With each exhale,

Allow your body to sink deeper into relaxation.

Gently shift your focus away from your breath now.

Imagine yourself standing at the edge of a beautiful forest.

As I guide you deeper into this peaceful place,

Allow your senses to awaken to the sights,

Sounds,

And sensations of the forest around you.

You look around the vibrant,

Living,

Breathing forest.

The canopy above filters the sunlight into soft,

Golden beams.

The air feels like the perfect temperature against your skin,

Carrying the faint,

Earthy scent of moss and damp wood.

Birds sing their songs,

A symphony of life that feels as though it's wrapping around you,

Pulling you deeper into this serene sanctuary.

You take slow,

Mindful steps forward,

Each movement feeling purposeful.

The earth beneath your feet feels soft and welcoming,

A mixture of fallen leaves and rich soil.

Around you,

The trees stretch endlessly,

Their leaves swaying gently in the breeze,

Whispering secrets of the forest.

As you walk,

Your eyes are drawn to one tree in the distance.

Unlike the others,

It has a presence,

A quiet majesty that seems to call to you.

Its roots stretch wide and deep,

Like arms open in invitation.

There's a subtle yet undeniable pull drawing you closer.

As you reach the tree,

You take a moment to admire its beauty.

The bark is textured,

A tapestry of grooves and knots that seem to tell a story of time and resilience.

The leaves above shimmer in the light,

Dancing playfully in the breeze.

You gently raise your hand and place it against the sturdy trunk.

There's a gentle magnetism,

As if the tree itself is pressing back against your hand.

You close your eyes,

And in the stillness,

You can feel the quiet hum of its life force,

Steady and grounding.

You feel so safe in this moment,

And allow yourself to be held by the tree's loving energy.

With each breath,

You allow yourself to release.

A heaviness within you begins to soften,

Flowing gently from your chest and out through your hand.

You can feel it leaving your body,

Moving like a stream of energy into the tree.

The tree accepts it without hesitation,

Absorbing the weight effortlessly.

The energy travels downward,

Pulled into the tree's deep roots and down into the earth.

You sense it being drawn far beneath you,

Where it is transformed and alchemized by the wisdom of the earth itself.

This burden you carried is no longer yours.

It dissolves,

Becoming one with nature and recycled into something new,

Something neutral.

As this release happens,

You notice your body feeling lighter,

As though the air around you has lifted you slightly off the ground.

A sense of peace washes over you,

Filling the spaces where the heaviness once lived.

The tree stands strong beside you,

Its presence unwavering,

Offering its quiet strength and support.

You linger for a moment,

Savoring this lightness,

This feeling of renewal.

The tree continues to hold you,

Reminding you that in nature,

Nothing is truly lost,

Only transformed.

When you feel ready,

You gently step back,

Your hand trailing along the bark as you release your touch.

You offer a silent thank you to the tree,

Acknowledging its gift and its wisdom.

With a deep breath,

You turn and walk away,

The forest around you seeming even more vibrant and alive than before.

Each step feels freer,

As though the earth beneath your feet is carrying you forward,

Lighter and unburdened.

You carry the sense of peace with you,

Feeling renewed,

Supported and connected to the greater flow of life.

Become aware of your breath,

Noticing the rise and fall of your chest.

Sweep your awareness down your arms to the tips of your fingers,

Down your legs to the tips of your toes.

Invite slow,

Gentle movement back into your body.

Keeping your eyes closed,

Notice any sounds in the room you're in,

And when you're ready,

Gently open your eyes.

Your yoga nidra practice is complete.

Thank you for trusting me to guide you.
