Namaste.
Could you take a few moments here to really presence a space of self-love,
To take a moment
to set the intention of cultivating love and compassion towards yourself.
We often get so caught up in taking care of others and sometimes our priority doesn't
land on us.
But if we're not good,
Then we can't be good for anybody else.
Let's begin by finding a comfortable seat,
Sukhasana,
Sitting with the spine long.
This could be on your bed,
Floor,
Or even an office chair.
Could you draw an awareness to the breath?
Perhaps you close down through the eyes or keep the gaze soft.
Begin to notice the natural rhythm of the inhales and the exhales,
These waves of breath.
Feeling a sense of calm and relaxation as the tensions begin to melt away.
And as your awareness falls on the breath,
Could you welcome an intention or an affirmation?
Planting the seed of the affirmation in the space of your mind and your heart.
This affirmation could be,
I'm worthy of love and respect.
I honor and accept myself unconditionally.
I deserve to be happy and fulfilled.
Whatever the intention,
Could you imagine each breath energizing,
Giving life to this
beautiful space of self-love,
Of compassion?
Each breath nourishing this space from within.
Could you imagine yourself surrounded by a warm,
Loving light?
Welcome this light to envelop you,
To wrap you in a cocoon of self-love,
Of self-acceptance.
Imagine yourself smiling and radiating with confidence and inner peace.
Allowing the breath to fill you with the sense of joy and contentment.
With each breath nourishing the seed of love.
Could you take a moment to express gratitude for yourself?
Perhaps drawing the hands up to the chest and giving yourself a big warm hug.
Holding yourself the way that you might hold someone else in need.
Presence gratitude for making this small space in your day-to-day for you.
Reflecting on the strengths,
The resilience,
And the well of love that you can tap into for yourself.
Could you presence gratitude on the unique qualities that make you,
You?
And your journey that has led you to this moment,
This space in time.
Allowing the awareness of the breath to bring you back into the physical space.
Take in a deep breath through the nose.
Exhale out through the mouth.
Embracing any sense of worry or self-doubt and creating a space for gratitude for this
time that you've dedicated to yourself.
And whenever you're feeling ready,
Perhaps fluttering open through the eyes,
Welcoming
yourself to this present moment,
Carrying the feelings of self-love and compassion with
you and welcoming this affirmation that you've planted from within to come back at any point.
Remembering that self-love is a practice and that if it takes time to fully embrace and
embody these affirmations,
That's absolutely okay.
Remember to be patient and kind to yourself as you continue on your journey.
