Welcome to Embodying Ease with the Healing Power of Lavender.
I am a firm believer that aromatic plants are powerful allies for our human experience when used intentionally.
In this meditation,
We will work with the energy of the lavender plant to invite ease into our body and mind.
So as you begin to prepare yourself for meditation,
Find a quiet and comfortable place to sit or lie down where you won't be disturbed and have a bottle of lavender essential oil,
Fresh lavender,
Or any aromatic plants of your choosing that supports you in creating feelings of ease.
I invite you to close your eyes and feel into your breath,
Noticing where the flow of breath begins,
Allowing it to release naturally,
Effortlessly,
Really being with the breath.
If it feels good,
Take a deep breath into your belly,
Up into your heart,
And release with a deep,
Audible sigh,
Letting everything go.
Sigh.
Shoulders relaxed.
Loosening the jaw.
Relaxing the eyebrows.
Breathing into the belly,
Creating space.
With your plant oil in your hand,
Mentally affirm your intention to invite the energy of this plant into your energetic field now.
Affirm your intention to invite ease into your body and mind and let go of any tension or stress you may be carrying.
As we begin working with the energy of lavender,
I invite you to anoint yourself by placing a drop of lavender oil on your palms,
Rubbing them together to activate the scent.
You may also want to rub a small amount of the oil on your temples,
Wrists,
Or under your nose.
I really enjoy taking a drop and massaging gently around my heart space,
Inviting the energy of the plant into my energetic field through my heart.
Whatever feels good for you,
Embrace the aroma of the lavender plant.
Be fully with all that you are smelling,
Sensing,
And feeling in this moment.
Plants are great teachers.
They have a lot of wisdom to share with us if we are still and quiet enough to receive them.
Enjoy and allow the energy of lavender to open yourself to what it has to say to you right now.
As you continue to breathe in the aroma of lavender,
Gently scan your body,
Starting from your toes,
Bringing your awareness to each part of your body one by one,
Scanning for any tension or discomfort you may still be holding onto or experiencing.
As you identify any areas of tension,
Imagine breathing into those areas and letting go with each exhale,
Now focusing your attention on the natural rhythm of your breath.
Imagine the rise and fall of your chest and the sensation of air moving in and out of your body.
Allow your breath to deepen and slow down,
Relaxing into the rhythm of your breath.
You might try imagining and visualizing yourself in the middle of a circle.
Here,
At the center,
There is nothing to hold onto,
Nothing to let go of.
You just are.
Release any urge to cling or push and just be.
Releasing all pressure,
Just be here at the center.
In this state of being,
Continue to breathe deeply with the essence of your aromatic plant.
Let the plant be your ally in shifting any and all feelings of stress,
Fatigue,
Anxiety,
Depression,
Any pressure,
Any worldly pressure.
This is mental transmutation at work and you hold the magic key.
So,
Activate your inner magic in choosing how you want to feel.
Let the plant remind you of this natural state of tranquility,
Harmony.
Let it be easy.
Gradually bringing your awareness back to the present moment,
To your full body awareness.
Wiggling your fingers and toes,
Bringing a gentle smile to your mouth,
To your face,
To your lips.
And when you're ready,
Slowly opening your eyes,
Giving gratitude for our aromatic plant teacher,
Lavender,
On today and the support that Lavender provided in embodying a feeling of relaxation,
Peace and ease in our minds and our bodies.
Thank you for taking time to journey with the energy of Lavender and for tending to your inner garden.
Be well.
