Hey,

Darling,

If you're here,

You might be feeling that ache in your chest,

That familiar tightness that shows up right around sunset on Sunday.

Maybe your mind is already drifted into Monday,

Thinking about the emails,

The outfit,

The appointments,

The pressure.

But here's the truth.

You're still in this day,

And you deserve to end it with softness,

Not stress.

You don't have to follow the yellow brick road of what ifs tonight.

No need to go searching for courage,

Or a brain,

Or a heart.

You've had them all along.

Let's slow down together.

Don't let the Sunday scaries creep in like the Wicked Witch of the West.

Instead,

Think of Glinda.

Light,

Sparkly,

Soft-spoken.

She's waving her wand above you now,

Sprinkling in a little peace your way.

We'll begin by inhaling through your nose,

Nice and steady.

Exhale through your mouth,

And let it go with a sigh.

Again,

Inhale peace,

And exhale pressure.

One more time.

Breathe in.

Feel your body soften,

Your shoulders drop,

Your jaw unclench.

Let yourself be here,

Not in tomorrow.

As the wand sprinkles,

Sparkles above you,

Imagine those sparkles falling gently over you like calm,

Easy,

Softness.

Now picture your thoughts,

All of them as glittering sparkles in the air.

You don't have to grab them,

Just notice them.

Watch them float and fall.

There goes the sparkle of,

I didn't get enough done.

And the,

I'm already behind sparkle.

My I have to be perfect sparkle fades and disappears.

They're all drifting down like poppy petals in the wind,

And you don't have to chase any of them.

You don't have to carry the whole week tonight.

You're allowed to just be.

Repeat these quietly or in your heart.

I release what I cannot control.

It's okay to rest before I rise.

I can meet Monday with grace,

Not pressure.

Tonight,

I choose peace.

Let your breath guide you back to now.

Let your body thank you for showing up.

You don't have to know exactly how next week will go.

You just have to trust that you'll meet it when it comes.

But for now,

Rest,

Darling.

The night is still yours.

And you,

You're doing just fine.

And as Glinda,

The good witch would say.

You've always had the power,

My darling.

You just had to learn it for yourself.

So close your eyes and ease into sleep.

There's no place like now.

And no place like here.
