Find your usual meditation position.
Sit comfortably.
And you can gently close your eyes.
And just notice.
Your breath.
Moving in and out of your nose.
And you can gently close your eyes.
Notice how your breath has its own natural rhythm.
Yet.
You have free will.
To increase the speed.
Or decrease the speed.
See if you can tune yourself.
To your natural breath pace.
As closely as possible.
And you will know.
When you've surpassed your natural pace.
And you will know.
If you've decreased from your natural breath space.
You'll feel a little bit of air hunger.
For example.
Straighten the spine.
Relax the hands.
Relax the face.
Relax the jaw.
Feel the weight of your body.
On the surface beneath you.
Let's tune into sounds.
What can you hear right now?
It can be my voice.
The hum of your laptop fan.
Cars.
Vehicles.
Neighbors talking,
Arguing.
Laughing.
Focus your attention on all of the sounds that you can perceive now.
You don't have to do anything with these sounds.
You don't have to grab them.
You don't have to label them as good or bad.
They are just vibrations of energy.
That your brain is registering.
What is it that hears these sounds?
Don't answer with logic,
Or words,
Or science.
Answer with experiencing.
What part of you hears these sounds?
Which element of your being hears?
And what you'll notice is that underneath all sounds.
There you are.
Awareness is there.
Coupled with every single sound perceived is you.
Not you,
The name.
Not you,
The story.
But you,
The awareness.
This is your most authentic being.
This is you in your most raw state.
Beyond labels,
Roles,
Social pressures,
Work pressures.
Relationship expectations.
And as you breathe softly and gently at your natural rhythm.
Neither exceeding or slowing down your natural breath.
You can gently open your eyes.
Well done.
Www.
Mooji.
