Hey everybody!

This episode is for those times when you've got something to do and you just don't want to do it.

Whether it's going into work or getting laundry done or doing your homework,

Something bigger than that even,

Yard work or an appointment.

This one is to get you motivated and work through feeling like you don't want to do it.

So tap along with me to get a quick boost of motivation.

Hype yourself up for whatever it is you kind of sort of really don't want to do.

Let's see if this helps make the task a little bit easier.

Starting with the side of the hand,

Even though I don't really want to do this today,

I accept the way I feel and I am open to working through it.

Still on the side of the hand and just repeat after me out loud or in your mind,

Even though I just really don't want to do this today,

I accept the way I feel and I know that I can get through it.

Even though this really sucks and I don't want to do it,

I accept that it sucks and it might suck doing it but I am open to the fact that it also might go better than I expect.

Tapping at the eyebrow point,

I don't want to do this.

Side of the eye,

Ugh I'd rather be doing something else.

Under the eye,

Really dragging my feet on this today.

Under the nose,

I've been dragging my feet on this for a while.

Under the lip,

The sooner I get it done.

Colorbone,

The sooner I can look back and say that I did it.

Under the arm,

I accomplished it.

Top of the head,

Am I afraid to do this?

Eyebrow point,

Or am I just feeling unmotivated?

Side of the eye,

Maybe I just don't like getting the process started.

Under the eye,

Am I afraid of doing it wrong?

Under the nose,

Am I afraid of making a mistake?

Under the lip,

Am I afraid of failure?

Colorbone,

But if I do make a mistake.

Under the arm,

I can learn from that.

Top of the head,

Eyebrow point,

I can let that go.

Side of the eye,

Maybe I don't have to do this thing ever again after I get it done today.

Under the eye,

Maybe it'll turn out way better than I'm expecting.

Under the nose,

Maybe it'll actually be kind of fun.

Under the lip,

And I am open to it being fun.

And if I'm scared,

Under the arm,

I can do it scared.

Top of the head,

Do this.

Side of the eye,

I've got this.

Under the eye,

I'm going to try.

Under the nose,

At the very least I am going to try.

Under the lip,

And I am open to remaining neutral about my experience.

When I do this activity,

Under the arm,

I can observe the people around me.

Top of the head,

Just observing.

Brow point,

What can I learn from this experience?

Side of the eye,

I think I'm going to do it.

Under the eye,

I think I'm ready to do it.

Under the nose,

I am going to at least give it my best try.

Under the lip,

I can visualize myself when it's done,

Smiling and being proud that I did it.

Under the arm,

Because I did it.

Top of the head,

I did it.

Eyebrow point,

I did it.

Side of the eye,

I freaking did it.

Under the eye,

I accomplished completing this task.

Under the nose,

I can picture myself so proud.

Under the lip,

For accomplishing this task.

Collarbone,

No matter how big or small this task is.

Under the arm,

I am going to be grateful that I completed it.

Top of the head,

I'm grateful to myself for showing up for me.

Side of the eye,

I am ready to get this done.

Under the eye,

I am ready to get this done.

I am so ready to get this done.

Let's do this.

This.

Under the arm,

Top of the head,

And I am damn proud of myself.

You can stop tapping,

Take a deep breath,

Let it out.

Do it.

Go get it done.

Go do it.

Shoulders down and back,

Breathing in deeply,

Letting yourself feel neutral as much as you can.

See how it goes.

It's worth a try.
