Find a comfortable position,

Close your eyes,

Take a deep breath in and a slow breath out.

Feel the weight of your body resting on the chair or on the floor.

Life has natural rhythms,

Some bring us joy and some put us down.

Right now,

Acknowledge where you are.

If you feel hurt,

Tired or disappointed,

Simply notice it and you don't have to change it.

Just breathe in,

Breathe out.

Think about the challenge you are facing right now.

Instead of pushing it away,

Let's meet it with gentle acceptance.

Please repeat after me silently in your mind.

It is okay to feel frustrated.

This feeling is just energy passing through.

I allow this feeling to be here.

Now,

Notice where you feel this sense of difficulties in your body and repeat after me.

I feel it without fighting it.

This is a moment of challenge.

Challenges are part of my journey.

Keep it company with your compassionate awareness.

There's nothing to change.

Just breathe in,

Breathe out.

And now,

Identify the voice of self-blaming.

Those irrational thoughts such as,

I should have,

It is my fault,

These voices are not your friends,

They are just a habit of the mind.

Imagine these thoughts are clouds,

They are passing through the sky but they are not the sky itself.

You can experience a difficulty without being a failure.

So repeat after me silently.

I accept the situation.

I release the guilt.

I'm doing the best I can with what I have.

Feel the space that opens up when you've stopped attacking yourself.

And now,

Bring your focus back to your breath.

Each inhale is a fresh start.

And each exhale is a letting go.

Breathe in,

Fresh start.

Breathe out,

Letting go.

Breathe in,

A new start.

Breathe out,

Letting go.

You are more than your results.

You are more than your mistakes.

And you are the awareness that sees them all.

Carry this kindness with you as you move back into your day.

When you are ready,

Gently move your fingers.

Open your eyes.

Namaste.
