Hello and welcome to today's meditation.
Today we are going to take a walk in the woods with our hearts open to the feeling of gratitude.
Let's take a deep breath together in and out.
I feel the earth beneath my feet and I am grateful.
The sun shines on my face.
I feel the warmth against my skin and I am grateful.
As I walk into the woods,
The path opens up in front of me and I am grateful.
I hear birds singing in the trees all around me and I am grateful.
There is a cool breeze blowing.
It refreshes me and I am grateful.
I hear the rustle of leaves and I am grateful.
I see the speckled sunlight peeking through the trees and I am grateful.
In the distance,
I see a deer.
It looks at me for a moment before bounding away and I am grateful.
A fork appears in the path.
I see the possibilities before me and I am grateful.
I choose my direction and walk forward and I am grateful.
As I hike up the hill,
I can feel my legs work and I am grateful.
My lungs fill with air.
I breathe in and out and I am grateful.
Finally,
I reach the top of the hill and take in the view.
I see green treetops and blue skies.
I see a shining lake in the distance.
Birds fly above.
The world is vast and beautiful and I am grateful.
A cloud passes over the sun.
I know it is shining whether I see it or not and I am grateful.
Past the clouds and past the sun is the vast universe.
I am part of something immense and I am grateful.
I take a moment to rest in the peaceful world and I am grateful.
As I leave the woods and return to my daily life,
I carry with me the peace of the woods and the wonder of the skies.
My heart is content,
My mind is peaceful and I am grateful.
I am grateful for it all.
