Hello and welcome to our community meditation space.
My name is Viviane Girard and it is my delight to be guiding us in a meditation for the full moon in Libra.
As we settle into this time together,
I invite you to picture yourself walking into our virtual living room,
Finding your seat,
And sitting down in circle as we turn to astrology to guide our human adventure.
Let us close our eyes.
The focus for this time on our planet is to slow down the pace internally in order to be able to navigate the swirl,
The busyness,
Externally.
One way to do that is to begin with breath.
As you stretch out your inhale and even out your exhale,
You begin to cue your body to safety,
To invite your body to let go of the natural response to a busy activity schedule.
And to release the tension that we often don't even realize we are feeling.
With each inhale,
Fill your body with expansion,
With fresh air,
With more.
And with each exhale,
Release out the overwhelm,
The stress,
The tension,
All the way down through to your feet and into the earth.
When you inhale,
Imagine you are breathing in from the life force of our planet,
Bringing that fresh energy into your body and rejuvenating every single cell.
With your exhale,
You are clearing the toxicity,
The tension you don't even realize is sitting underneath the thoughts,
The ideas,
All the way down into the earth.
And again,
Just equaling out the inhale and the exhale.
And as you settle into your body,
Into this time of meditation,
Notice the thoughts that are still present,
Not to fight them,
Not to try to make them go away,
But noticing what is your mind putting its attention on as you are entering this time of meditation.
Often the mind will try to work through what is heaviest or most intense at this moment.
As we settle into meditation,
The mind is trying to control,
To protect us,
To make sure we don't forget.
So you simply notice the thoughts and allow them to move through.
And then make a choice.
Which thoughts are you willing to just put to the side?
Which things or people that you are very attached to,
Can you move to the outside of your meditation time?
They will be waiting when you are done.
It may feel a bit like you are shedding,
You are taking off a layer and another layer.
And perhaps the layers,
Like coats,
Are sitting outside of this meditation space.
You didn't realize how many coats you had on,
How many layers were sitting on your shoulders,
On your back.
As you gently put them to the side and allow yourself to come even more deeply into your own space,
Your own meditation time cocoon.
You may notice a little more lightness inside of you.
Especially when we are feeling for the collective,
For all of humanity,
For the themes that are moving through our world.
We carry them without even noticing that we are carrying all of that emotion intensity.
As you take the layers off and allow them to just sit outside of your meditation space,
You can counterbalance that sense of lightness with a deep grounding.
So imagine from the bottoms of your feet,
As you are shedding these layers off of your shoulders,
Your back,
Your feet are grounding,
Rooting deep down into the earth.
You can imagine tree roots from the bottoms of your feet or cords,
Beams of light,
Whatever feels true to you.
Imagine those roots can go deeper and wider,
Just like a tree,
At the same time as you are releasing these layers at your shoulders.
This may allow you to stretch open your spinal column,
Your back,
Your shoulders,
Which is going to open your heart space.
If it feels vulnerable,
Go at whatever speed feels comfortable to you.
It's like we are opening almost like a flower,
Unfurling,
Without even realizing how much we had been carrying,
We are putting it down.
Creating more space to breathe inside of ourselves,
To feel who are we,
What are we,
When we aren't carrying the weight of the world,
Or the weight of our family,
The weight of our community,
The weight of our relationships,
When we are simply being us,
Those who are the one unique soul inside of the one unique human story,
Grounding in with our planet,
With earth,
And simply feeling us,
The one human.
Take a moment and be fully inside of yourself,
Grounded,
Steady,
Calmer perhaps than you have been in a while,
More present to what is happening just inside of you.
You may have a buzz of energy in your body,
Or a really beautiful,
Calm,
Quiet,
More spaciousness.
Allow yourself to rest,
To be fully here,
Experiencing yourself,
Maybe in a new way,
Maybe in a quieter way,
There is a sense of awe that I feel.
This full moon in Libra is a time of completion,
Illumination,
A culmination of cycles.
Libra is the sign associated with beauty,
Harmony,
Tranquility,
Partnership.
Perhaps this moment is fully for you,
Illuminating the beauty,
The partnership you have with yourself,
Your soul,
With your body,
With your mind,
With your heart.
I invite you to go deeper into you,
Bringing your attention down into your body.
We'll begin with the heart,
Bringing all of your power,
Your awareness,
Your attention,
From the mind,
From the third eye down through the throat and into the heart.
With your feet still grounded and steady,
Can you relax the muscles of the heart,
The energy of the heart chakra,
The emotions that are stored in the heart.
When it is simply you with you,
I invite you to relax deeper into your heart space.
Bringing your awareness to whatever is being felt in your heart,
There may be waves of emotion that move gently or powerfully.
Relax your muscles and allow your attention to expand inside of your heart space.
We feel and store so much in the heart.
When we are busy and the pace of our planet is fast,
It is easy to overlook,
To bypass,
To ignore the emotions that are just naturally wanting to be felt.
It is the condition of being human to feel.
It is why we choose as a soul to be in a human story.
It's so that we can feel life happening.
We can feel our relationships.
We can experience all the range of emotions.
It is not wrong or weak or out of alignment to feel grief and joy sometimes within moments of each other.
To feel anger and helplessness,
Perhaps followed almost instantly by power and creativity.
Emotions,
Experiences move through us,
Are felt through us.
And when the pace is fast,
We can override experiencing the emotions simply to try to keep up or survive whatever the pace is.
So this moment,
This time is an invitation to go deeper into your heart.
To allow yourself to feel the emotions.
Not to be overwhelmed by them,
But to feel them.
To allow them space to be felt and to flow,
To move.
Use your breath to steady your body.
It is like being in the ocean when you stand with your feet steady and connected to the sand even as the sand is shifting and moving.
The waves can move your body.
They can rock your body to the side.
When your feet are steady and you are planted,
You move and flow with the waves.
You don't try to resist them,
You simply stand.
Maybe you move a little closer to the shore so you're not as deep in the water.
But you allow your body to go with the rhythm.
And what you find is there is a rhythm.
There is an ebb and a flow and a speed,
A pace that is very natural with the ocean.
You can relax into that pace.
And as you relax,
You notice that your attention goes deeper into your body.
Our heart is feeling the waves of the emotions.
When we are connected,
Grounded,
Rooted in our body and to this planet,
The emotions that we feel moving through our heart are steadied by our root chakra,
By our ability to be in our body.
To feel safe no matter what the emotions are moving through our heart.
To feel safe having the experience.
So gently guide your awareness from your heart chakra down through your third.
Down through your second chakra and bring your awareness to your root.
You might hear your body gurgling as energy moves.
Notice the shift when you move from your heart down to your root.
Your mind may get a little heady,
Lighter.
As you focus on your root chakra,
Relax your muscles.
And allow yourself to feel safety inside of you.
When the world feels unsafe,
Our choice to be safe in our human body,
Our own unique individual experience,
Choosing to feel safe.
It is almost an act of defiance.
It is a conscious shift that we make inside of ourselves.
No matter what is happening externally,
I am the individual soul that chose to be human.
To come live a human experience for that purpose.
To experience it.
From this place of grounded steadiness in my own body,
I can shift my reality.
I can shift my point of focus.
I can choose to quiet the external noise in any moment.
And to bring all of my focus down into my body.
Relaxing my muscles.
Calming my nervous system.
Slowing down the pace.
Quieting the noise.
And choosing safety.
Breathing all the way down into your root.
And noticing how everything gets quieter.
Just breathing into your root chakra and feeling those roots go all the way down through your legs,
Through your feet,
Deep down into the earth.
Just like tree roots winding,
Overlapping with the trees around you.
Connecting you deep down into the grid of life force of energy that always happens underneath the surface of our planet.
We don't always pay attention to this grid of energy because our human body sits above the surface of the earth.
When we choose to root in,
To connect in,
We can feel how that grid of energy underneath the surface of the earth is always available to support us,
To steady us,
To help us feel even more safe than we can on our own.
As your root chakra through your legs and your feet connects through the rooting system of our planet,
You may notice that your shoulders start to hunch forward.
So lean back,
Straighten your spine,
Open your shoulder blades.
Notice how your heart chakra expands.
Even as your feet,
Your roots connect you deeper into the earth and your root chakra expands in your body,
Your heart can open,
Relax,
Soften.
Notice how it feels in your body.
The full moon in Libra invites us into tranquility.
Relax your muscles.
Allow yourself to relax,
To be in this space of harmony within yourself.
The partnership of mind,
Body,
Soul,
Heart connecting in with the earth.
As you steady yourself in this vibration,
This frequency,
Slowing down your breathing,
Feeling whatever is being felt inside of you,
I will bring in just a couple nuggets for our mind.
At the end of this month,
We have Uranus moving into Gemini.
We are in the final stages of a seven-year cycle completing right now.
Uranus in Taurus grounded earth.
When Uranus moves into Gemini,
We are going to feel the pace picking up,
The communication becoming faster.
With that shift,
At the end of the month,
All of the outer planets will be in fire and air.
As an astrologer I follow describes it,
It will become steamy.
Allow that to happen around you outside of your meditation space as you sit in this experience that you have created for yourself.
Choosing to be calm,
Embodied,
Present,
Even as the world around becomes steamier,
Fireier,
Busier,
Quicker.
Practice now.
In your meditation time you slow down,
You breathe,
You expand the space around your body,
You deepen the roots underneath your feet.
And then you relax and allow this to be.
You rest in this feeling even as you notice with your third eye how much busier,
Faster,
More intense things are looking on the outside of your meditation space.
Deepen your roots,
Expand the space around you and allow your third eye to notice what is happening externally.
We are in one year in numerology,
It's a time of new beginnings.
At this full moon we have a pile of planets in Aries.
Aries is the beginning of the zodiac cycle.
New starts,
New projects,
New relationships,
New initiatives.
With all of that new we come back again and again into this experience,
This meditation time,
This embodiment practice.
Deepening your roots underneath your body,
Deeper,
Deeper into the earth,
Expanding the space that is where you meditate,
Feeling the waves of emotions that move through you and allowing yourself the experience.
Calming your body,
Quieting the noise in your mind and allowing yourself to see with your third eye what is happening externally.
From this moment,
This calm embodied space,
What do you need to know?
What is most important for you to take from this meditation time?
It can be about this practice itself or it can be something that you see with your third eye,
Perhaps a next step or one thing that you want to carry as an awareness with you.
Allow your soul to show you gently the nugget that you take with you from this meditation time.
It can be different each time you come back.
It may be a word,
A frequency.
Anchor that into your awareness and relax your muscles.
And then one more time,
Deepen your roots way down into the earth.
Allow them to stay even as we prepare to complete our meditation together.
Allow your roots to keep you anchored and strong and steady.
Just like the tree,
It doesn't pick up its roots and start walking.
It keeps its roots.
We have the advantage of being able to move and walk,
But we can still be rooted.
So allow your feet to feel that connection deep into the earth.
Bring your awareness slowly up through to your feet,
Up through your legs and into your root chakra,
Expanding your sense of safety inside of you.
Bringing your awareness up through your second chakra,
Your third chakra into your heart,
Softening,
Expanding your heart space.
And we're going to keep our awareness here as we bring this meditation to a close,
Relaxing your heart chakra.
Feeling yourself gently,
Fully present here in this moment.
As you feel ready,
I want you to gently open your eyes,
But just look at one thing in front of you.
It may take a moment to kind of bring your eyes into focus with your third eye,
With all that you have been seeing and feeling in the meditation time.
So you might open and close your eyes a couple times.
I am holding a crystal in my right hand,
And so I'm wiggling my fingers around the crystal.
I'm starting to wiggle my toes.
As you do that,
You can start to take in more of the external environment around you.
As we come out of this meditation cocoon,
This meditation space,
I invite you to merge your inner and your outer landscape.
What we see,
What we feel,
What we experience in our meditation time is just as true as what we see externally.
And I believe at this time on our planet,
The two are blending,
Harmonizing in incredibly powerful ways.
So honor what you experience in your meditation time journal.
Write about it.
If you choose,
You can bring it into our lives and share with us.
I encourage you to drink a big glass of water,
To look for the beauty around you at this time.
There is so much to be in awe of in our planet,
In our human body,
In our relationships.
So look for the beauty,
Focus on it,
Expand the harmony,
The joy,
The pleasure of this human experience as we move into this full moon in Libra energy.
