This short meditation will guide you through the Reiki Master's (Lightworker's) Precepts for an amazing day. We start with some grounding, walk through the affirmations, and then close with encouragement for the day ahead.

Good morning,

Welcome to this new day.

As you saddle,

Make sure you get into a comfortable position.

This could be sitting up,

Cross-legged or kneeling,

With an erect spine that is alert but not stiff.

If it's more comfortable for you,

You can stay in your bed,

Lying down on your back,

Arms and legs comfortably apart in Shavasana.

When you're ready,

You can allow your eyes to gently close or just gaze down if that is a better option for you.

Now turn your attention to your breathing,

Ever so gently,

Without trying to control your breath.

Feel the air coming into your nostrils is colder than the air going out.

Notice where your breath is the most evident in your body.

Is it at your nostrils,

Your throat,

Your chest or your belly?

Maybe you can feel your whole body breathing with every in and out breath.

Just gently keep focusing on and observing your breathing.

If the breath still feels controlled after a few tries,

Just let it be,

Exactly as it is in this moment.

There is no right or wrong way to breathe.

When thoughts come,

As they always do,

This is perfectly normal.

Allow them gently to pass,

Like clouds in the sky,

Not fixating on anything.

Just let go and gently return to observing your breathing,

Listening to my voice.

Each day is a new beginning,

A new chance for us to live truly to who we really are.

We are going to work with some affirmations now,

From the Reiki Master or Lightworkers precept,

To make sure you start your day off on the right foot,

With the best outcome.

Turn your attention to the affirmations I'm going to say and repeat them after me,

Either out loud or in your mind.

Just for today,

I will not worry.

Just for today,

I will not be angry.

Just for today,

I will do my work honestly and diligently.

Just for today,

I will be grateful for my many blessings.

Just for today,

I will be kind to all living beings.

Notice how these affirmations make you feel in your body.

Are you ready for a beautiful new day?

Take a moment now and visualize how your day will go.

From right after this meditation,

All the way to the evening time,

When it's time to go to sleep.

Know that you are more than capable to handle anything that comes your way.

There is no need to feel overwhelmed.

You will intuitively know what to do.

Picture all the blessings and beauty around you.

Imagine smelling your favorite morning coffee or tea.

Imagine yourself shining as the bright light you are,

Lighting up this whole world with your presence,

Your smile,

Your kind words.

Take your time to smell the flowers today.

Stay present and enjoy every moment this life brings you.

O nobly born,

Remember who you really are.

When you shine your love and light,

This world becomes a better place just by you simply being in it.

Set an intention now.

How would you like your day to go?

When you're ready,

You can gently turn your attention back to your bodily sensations and your breathing.

How have they changed since you began this meditation?

Focus your attention inward and notice how you feel.

Slowly start noticing your surroundings.

What can you hear,

Touch or smell?

Take your time.

Whenever you're ready,

You can go ahead and gently open your eyes.

Take all the colors and sounds in around you.

Welcome.
