I wonder,

Will you help me tell a story?

I'll say a line and you say it back.

Ready?

When time was new,

The first flower grew,

A gift from Earth to all.

So much joy came to bloom.

Earth said,

You can do it too.

Grow flowers for someone you love.

So let's get still and plant some flowers.

Sitting up tall,

Reach your arms towards the sun in the sky.

Then drop them to your lap and close your eyes.

Wiggle your toes and wiggle your nose.

Take a deep breath in and let it go.

And imagine you're sitting in a garden full of flowers that were planted with love and gratitude.

The Gratitude Garden.

The sweetness of the air in the Gratitude Garden is so enchanting you pause to breathe it in.

As you take three deep breaths,

You're reminded of someone you're grateful for.

Someone you want to tell thank you.

Ready?

Breathing in gratitude for one,

Two,

And three.

Who is the someone you're grateful for?

You can say their name out loud or feel it quietly in your heart.

Holding this person in your mind and heart,

You reach into your pocket and pull out a single sparkling seed.

As a gentle breeze blows through the Gratitude Garden,

You place your seed in the ground and cover it with the cool dirt.

And out loud or quietly in your heart,

You say,

I am grateful for you.

Then you tell them what you're grateful for.

Go ahead,

Plant your seed of gratitude.

When your seed of gratitude is planted,

You begin to wiggle your toes.

Then you wiggle your nose.

You reach up to the sky,

Then drop your arms and open your eyes.

And say,

Earth said with glee,

Just wait and see.

You planted more joy than you know.
