Start by lying on a bed or sitting in a comfortable chair.

Take a deep cleansing breath,

Allowing the breath to move all the way down to your stomach.

Slowly exhale,

Noticing the movement in your lower abdomen and chest.

Take another calm cleansing intake of breath,

Paying particular attention to the sensation of the moving air on your nostrils.

Imagine the air circulating all around your body before leaving back out through your nostrils.

Imagine all the tension and tightness in your body,

Leaving with the air.

Continue to focus your attention on the incoming and outgoing air as you gently breathe in and out.

Imagine a warm,

Gentle mist moving towards you.

It's a comforting,

Calming mist that relaxes everything that it touches,

Soaking up all the tension and tightness along the way.

As the mist reaches your feet,

Feel your toes relax,

The bottom of your feet and your ankles relax.

As it moves up your legs,

Feel your shins and your calves let go and unwind as the warm,

Gentle mist floats up to your knees.

Feel all the tension escaping from your knee joints.

Your thigh muscles,

Your hamstrings become limp and heavy as the mist floats over them to your buttocks and pelvis.

You feel grounded and connected as gravity takes hold and your muscles let go of the resistance.

The mist continues up your torso as you feel your stomach muscles and your lower back let go and succumb to the warm comfort of the mist.

Your fingers and hands release the rigidity in favour of a feeling of floating on the surface of the mist which continues to move up your body,

Enveloping your forearm,

Your upper arm and your chest.

Your breathing is light and relaxed and natural.

As the mist continues on,

Act into your shoulders and neck,

Soaking up all the tightness and pain,

Leaving only looseness and lightness.

The mist moves over your face as your jaw muscles,

Lips and eyelids all loosen their grip and float in place.

As the mist continues to the top of your head,

You feel your scalp loosen and let go.

Your whole body is now floating,

Relaxed,

Supported by the mist.

You're comfortable,

Calm and relaxed.

Imagine you get up from where you are.

You notice some stone steps just in front of you and you feel drawn to discover where they lead.

As your feet lands on the first step,

You feel a sense of belonging move through you.

You step onto the second step and you get a feeling of calmness and safety.

You continue onto the third step and feel a wave of knowing and trusting run through you.

As you step onto the fifth step,

A sense of ease and contentment envelops you.

You step onto the sixth step and you feel an even deeper feeling of relaxation and calm.

This calmness and ease gets even deeper as you continue onto the eighth and ninth step.

As you step onto the final step,

You feel completely safe and completely relaxed.

You notice some sand on the floor as you place your bare feet down.

You follow the trail of sand which gets more and more abundant.

Eventually,

There's so much sand that it's like a soft cushion under your feet with each step that you take.

You lift your head and look around,

Only to realize that you're on a beautiful deserted beach.

The white sandy beach stretches out as far as the eye can see ahead and behind you.

The ocean is a bright turquoise and calm with small melodic waves lapping at the seashore.

The sky is clear and blue,

Stretching overhead in all directions until it meets the horizon on all sides.

The sun is warm on your skin and there's a welcome small breeze that keeps you at the perfect temperature,

Not too hot,

Not too cold.

Seagulls fly overhead,

Chirping as they go.

The sand is cool and soft beneath your feet as you continue walking along the beach.

You breathe in a big lungful of salty sea air and it refreshes your whole body.

You feel calm,

Relaxed and peaceful as you slowly leave your footprints in the sand behind you.

You notice an object in the distance just where the sand meets the sea.

You veer your slow stride in the direction of the object.

As you get closer,

The object comes into focus.

It's a small,

Blue,

One-person rowing boat with two oars.

It's being nudged by the small waves,

Making it seem as if it's eager to get out onto the ocean.

You step into the water and begin to push the little boat,

Dislodging it from its sandy perch and helping it to bob over the small waves.

You carry on walking through the water,

Pushing the little boat until you're just over knee deep.

At this point you gently but firmly climb into the boat.

Once inside,

You begin to row yourself away from the shoreline,

Gently floating and moving along the surface of the bright blue-green water.

The gentle sounds of the water lapping at the side of the boat and the warm rays of the sun on your skin make you feel calm and relaxed and in a state of absolute bliss and peace.

You stop rowing and rest yourself,

Soaking up the sights,

The sounds and the smells of your surroundings.

Just then you notice something inside the boat near your feet.

It's a notebook and pen.

You pick them up and read the words on the cover of the notebook.

It reads,

Write it down and it will be.

You open up the notebook to the first blank page and you think of everything that you wish for yourself in this life.

As you do so,

Flashes of images begin to run through your mind of future imagined memories.

Everything you desire for yourself without judgement from the physical,

Your appearance,

The appearance of your home life,

The people in your life,

Your successes at work,

Your health and your wealth.

Then your thoughts turn to the impact that all this wonderful experience has on others,

Your family,

Your community,

Those in need.

You see the ripple effects of your existence floating outwards.

Then you turn your focus to how all of this makes you feel.

The emotions that this ideal life stirs up for you.

Happiness,

Contentment,

Joy,

Excitement,

All of the wonderful feelings that come from doing good for others and for you.

As you feel the intensity of those emotions increasing in your imagination,

They begin to overflow into your body as you sit there in the boat.

You feel a subtle vibration all over your body that hums along to the tune of those wonderful feelings and emotions.

Filled with this vibration,

You begin to write down all the desires that you saw in your mind for your future imagined memories.

You write pages and pages of the wonderful life that you see for yourself and the impact your life has on others.

The vibration swirls around your body and down your arm and out through the pen in your hand onto the paper.

Once every last future imagined memory is written out on paper,

You put down the pen and tear out the pages you've written.

With knowing that everything you desire for yourself is possible,

You gently lower the pages onto the surface of the water.

You watch them slowly float away and you're filled with the certainty that what you desire for your life experience will manifest.

You now understand your purpose,

The impact you have on the world.

With that knowing,

You reach for the oars and you begin rowing slowly back to the shore.

When the hull of the boat nudges the soft sand,

You step out into the gentle lapping waves,

Pulling the boat up onto the dry sand.

You see your footprints in the sand from earlier and you begin to retrace them.

When you get to the edge of the beach,

You turn to look out to the ocean one last time,

Taking in the sounds,

The smells and the deep blue of the sky and the sea.

Filled with a deep sense of knowing and purpose,

You step back into your room.

You find yourself back where you were lying or sitting.

You wriggle your fingers and your toes.

You become aware of the sounds in the room around you.

With a deep breath in and out,

You open your eyes and you see your life experience in a new way.

Carry that with you into the rest of your day and know that you have built your soul confidence today.
