Start by lying on a bed or sitting in a comfortable chair.

Take a deep cleansing breath,

Allowing the breath to move all the way down to your stomach.

Slowly exhale,

Noticing the movement in your lower abdomen and chest.

Take another calm cleansing intake of breath,

Paying particular attention to the sensation of moving air on your nostrils.

Imagine the air circulating all around your body before leaving back out through your nostrils.

Imagine all the tension and tightness in your body leaving with the air.

Continue to focus your attention on the incoming and outgoing air as you gently breathe in and out.

Imagine a warm gentle mist moving towards you.

It's a comforting calming mist that relaxes everything that it touches,

Soaking up all the tension and tightness along the way.

As the mist reaches your feet,

Feel your toes relax,

The bottom of your feet and your ankles relax.

As it moves up your legs,

Feel your shins and your calves let go and unwind.

As the warm gentle mist floats up to your knees,

Feel all the tension escaping from your knee joints.

Your thigh muscles,

Your hamstrings become limp and heavy as the mist floats over them to your buttocks and pelvis.

You feel grounded and connected as gravity takes hold and your muscles let go of the resistance.

The mist continues up your torso as you feel your stomach muscles and your lower back let go and succumb to the warm comfort of the mist.

Your fingers and hands release the rigidity in favour of a feeling of floating on the surface of the mist which continues to move up your body,

Enveloping your forearm,

Your upper arm and your chest.

Your breathing is light and relaxed and natural as the mist continues on up into your shoulders and neck,

Soaking up all the tightness and pain leaving only looseness and lightness.

The mist moves over your face as your jaw muscles,

Lips and eyelids all loosen their grip and float in place.

As the mist continues to the top of your head,

You feel your scalp loosen and let go.

Your whole body is now floating,

Relaxed,

Supported by the mist.

You're comfortable,

Calm and relaxed.

Imagine you get up from where you are.

You notice some stone steps just in front of you and you feel drawn to discover where they lead.

As your feet land on the first step,

You feel a sense of belonging move through you.

You step onto the second step and you get a feeling of calmness and safety.

You continue onto the third step and feel a wave of knowing and trusting run through you.

As you step onto the fifth step,

A sense of ease and contentment envelops you.

You step onto the sixth step and you feel an even deeper feeling of relaxation and calm.

This calmness and ease gets even deeper as you continue onto the eighth and ninth step.

As you step onto the final step,

You feel completely safe and completely relaxed.

As you look up to notice that you're standing in a beautiful garden,

There are grand beautiful trees all around you and the warm golden sunlight is trickling down through the leaves.

You hear the melodic singing of the birds chittering around you.

The perfume of the colorful blossoms float past you as the tiny white petals dance through the air like confetti.

You notice a friendly owl perched on the branch of the biggest tree.

She's watching you,

Welcoming you into her magical garden.

You begin to walk deeper into the gorgeous abundant garden.

When you look down and realize that you're barefoot,

You feel the soft fresh grass beneath your feet and with each step you feel a little surge of invigorating energy.

As your body connects to the earth.

You walk deeper into the garden with each step a new intoxicating floral scent comes into your awareness.

As butterflies flit past you in the sunlight,

You notice the sound of softly trickling water.

You look to the side and on the edge of the garden you see a beautiful tranquil water fountain.

Its soft trickle relaxes you as some small birds dance around bathing themselves in the bowl.

You continue walking and a new feature comes into view.

Just ahead of you,

You notice a sandy circular garden.

In the center of the circle is a small platform with a bucket full of flat petals.

As you reach the edge of the sandy circle,

You notice a wooden rake resting against a tree.

You step onto the soft cool sand and feel the grains massaging the underside of your feet.

You pick up the rake and place the teeth into the sand just in front of your toes.

You begin to walk backwards along the outside circumference of the circle dragging the teeth of the rake in front of your toes.

As your footprints are turned into smooth lines in the sand.

You continue round the inside of the sandy circle smoothing out your footprints with the rake until eventually you begin to circle in closer to the center platform.

Slowly round and round you go until you reach the center.

You step up onto the platform and look at the consecutive lines in the sand.

You turn your attention to the bucket of flat pebbles before you.

You sit down on the floor and slowly one by one you begin to take out the pebbles.

Starting with the biggest pebble first,

You place the largest pebble in front of you on the floor.

As you place it you feel a sense of strength fill your head and your body.

A strength like you've never known before.

You reach for the next rock and place it on top of the first one.

As you place it you feel a deep sense of knowing from deep inside you.

An unwavering knowing that you have all the answers to every question you've ever had and will ever have.

You reach into the bucket for the third pebble and as your hand touches it you feel a deep connection.

You realize that you are connected to that rock and as you place it on top of the other two rocks you feel a deep connection to everything around you like static electricity.

You look into the bucket and choose the fourth pebble for your pile.

You choose the one that seems to be pulling you to it.

You place it neatly on top of your tower of pebbles and you know that your chosen pebble was the absolute right one.

For the final pebble you shake the bucket until your eye catches a small heart-shaped stone.

You reach into the bucket,

Lift out the heart-shaped stone and admire it in your hand.

As you study that stone you feel a warm energy emanating from it into your hand.

It's an energy of pure love that moves from your hand up your arm,

Shoulder,

Neck and into your mind before it filters all the way down into the rest of your body.

This glowing energy of love you place the heart-shaped pebble onto the top of your pebble tower.

The tower begins to glow and you breathe in the warm light.

When you're ready you stand up gently stepping back onto the cool sand.

As you pick up the rake you look once more at your pebble tower and you know that you've created something wonderful and powerful.

Filled with that energy you begin your backwards spiraling walk back out to the edges of the circle.

All the while using the rake to smooth over your footprints.

As you reach the big tree at the edge of the circle you step up onto the grass,

Rest your rake on the trunk of the tree and you notice that your hands are glowing a faint light glow.

It's the same glow that's surrounding your pebbles in the center of the circle and you notice that you're glowing all over your body.

You walk back through the garden back towards the stone steps.

The scent of the blossoms seem even more aromatic.

The birds are chirping even more cheerily and the sunshine is glistening through the leaves of the tree even more brightly.

As you reach the first step at the bottom of the stairway you turn to notice the old owl in the tree watching.

With kind wide eyes and a slight nod of her head she flies away.

You turn to walk up the stone steps.

With each step you get closer and closer to the bed or the chair that you're lying in.

As you reach the middle of the stairway you begin to become aware of your environment.

As you step onto the third from last step you begin to wiggle your toes and fingers.

As you step onto the second last step you become aware of the sounds in the room.

You step onto the final stone step and you slowly open your eyes focusing on whatever object is in front of you.

You're now fully awake.

You take a deep breath in and out and you're energized knowing that you've done a good exercise and you elevated your mind confidence.

An excellent meditation. I have a hard time with visualization mediations, I can’t docs and I can’t ‘visualize’, tragic I know lol. This meditation has been the best one for me. I was actually able to visualize and go fairly deep into my practice. I was able to meditate on my own for a few minutes(which is huge)I wish the guided part was even longer because it was so powerful. What a great practice. Thank you. 🙏🏼 🕉

Calming, it enabled me to direct my attention away from the worries of today, and relax. I wonder if there is a specific reason why we skip steps #4 and #7 on the way down?
