You are love itself.
Steady,
Faithful,
Unconditional love.
Your love isn't fragile or dependent on how I perform.
It simply is.
God is love.
1 John 4.
8 His steadfast love endures forever.
Psalm 136.
1 You are beauty.
The kind that shows up in nature.
Kindness,
Silence,
Breath,
Color,
And the moments that make life feel meaningful.
The heavens declare the glory of God.
Psalm 19.
1 You are power.
You are security,
Grounding,
Comforting.
You hold the universe together and somehow still hold me.
Great is our Lord and mighty in power.
Psalm 147.
5 In Him all things hold together.
Colossians 1.
17 You are near.
You are compassionate.
You are endlessly kind.
The Lord is gracious and compassionate.
Psalm 145.
8 The Lord is near to all who call on Him.
Psalm 145.
18 Just remembering who you are brings my heart and body back into steadiness.
Here I am.
I honor who you are.
There are places where I feel misaligned with your love.
Places where fear,
Ego,
Distraction,
Or self-protection have been steering more than I'd like to admit.
I've drifted from trust.
I've tried to control things I can't control.
I've lived more from anxiety than grounded safety.
I've carried things on my own when I didn't have to.
I've held on to worries instead of handing them over to you.
I've acted like everything depended on me.
Sometimes I've stayed numb or distracted because feeling feels like too much.
Stillness feels uncomfortable.
Presence feels vulnerable.
So I've stayed busy instead of tending to what's inside.
You.
The still,
Small voice.
The Holy Spirit within me.
I've been hard on myself.
Critical.
Pressured.
Impatient.
I've held on to sadness,
Fear,
Resentment because letting go felt unprotected.
I say all of this without shame,
But instead naming just what's true.
And in naming it,
I give it to you.
And I move forward in love.
Create in me a clean heart,
O God,
And renew a right spirit within me.
Psalm 51 10 Thank you for your steadfast love that truly endures forever.
Real,
Unbreakable,
Unwavering love.
Thank you for peace,
The kindness that guards the mind and softens the body.
Thank you that all things work together for the good of those who love you,
Even when I can't yet see how.
Thank you that you are near whenever I call,
That I never reach for you and find emptiness.
Thank you for purpose,
Meaning,
Joy,
Belonging.
Thank you for mentors,
Friends,
Support,
And people who feel like home.
Thank you for my body and my mind,
For breath,
Health,
Resilience,
Healing,
And capacity.
Thank you that you keep finding me again and again,
Even when I turn away.
I am never too far gone,
Never too much,
And never too late.
You will never let me go.
And for this,
I am deeply grateful.
I ask you,
God,
To heal my spirit.
Heal the places that feel tired,
Guarded,
Or worn down.
Do the kind of healing that brings real transformation from the inside out.
Let my life bear good fruit,
Peace,
Kindness,
Wisdom,
Steadiness,
And love.
Let that healing grow into safe fruit,
Physical safety,
Emotional safety,
Steady grounded abundance,
Relationships and environments that feel like shelter rather than strain.
Let abundance come in a way that doesn't cost my soul.
Enough to sustain me,
Enough to share,
Enough to nurture others without losing myself.
Make me a wellspring,
But a true one.
Not someone pretending to have water when I'm empty,
Because that has often been the person I've been before.
I no longer want to be someone pouring out while silently running dry.
Let my inner life actually be filled.
I ask for your spirit,
Deeply,
Fully,
Genuinely.
Fill me,
Renew me,
Guide me,
Anchor me.
Let the spirit shape my thoughts,
Soften my heart,
Steady my emotions,
And lead my life.
Because Jesus said it clearly,
How much more will your Father in Heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him?
So I am asking,
Trusting that you gladly and generously give what is holy and life-giving.
Teach me to trust you,
Not as an idea,
But as a lived reality.
Trusting your care,
Trusting your guidance,
Trusting your timing,
Trusting your goodness.
And keep reminding me always that you are the source.
My strength is borrowed from yours.
My peace flows from you.
My life is rooted in your love.
Give me wisdom where I need clarity,
Courage when I feel afraid,
Gentleness where I tend to be hard on myself,
Peace that steadies me deeply,
Body and soul.
Shape me into someone whole,
Rooted,
Truthful,
Loving,
And aligned with you.
Amen.
