Welcome to this practice of meditation.
This practice of meditation is dedicated to the goddess Durga.
She is the goddess of protection and the inner strength.
And a comfortable way of receiving this meditation into your energy body.
Your eyes can remain open or you might like to close them now.
Allow your body to settle into your seat,
Whatever that may be.
Aligning your head and neck with the rest of your spine.
Softening your skin.
Attuning to your breathing.
Allowing your breath to be natural.
As you exhale,
Feel the ground beneath you.
On your inhale,
Sense the sky and the space around you.
Settling in deeper and deeper now.
And then allowing your attention to move to your eyebrow centre point.
And here begin to visualise a vast,
Open,
Spacious sky.
Drink in the spaciousness.
And see a vision,
Majestically floating toward you.
Of Durga on her lion.
And Durga may be robed in nothing at all.
Or she may have a sari of red with golden thread.
Allow Durga to come close.
Close to your eyebrow centre point.
And now sense into challenges,
Worries or concerns that you are experiencing at this current time.
Allow your eyebrow centre point and your eyes to connect with Durga's.
On your exhale,
Allow your worries and your concerns,
Your challenges to pour out of your body and into Durga for transformation.
As you inhale,
Receive her strength,
Her protection,
Her deep sense of heartfelt compassion.
Sense this communion as you release and you receive directly from the goddess.
Breathing in Durga's strength.
Breathing in her guidance.
Breathing out your worries.
Releasing your concerns to her.
Trust in the power of Durga.
Now let's hone our awareness to one specific area right now that you would like protection from or support with.
It might be to do with a relationship,
A health issue,
Could be your current financial situation,
Whatever it is.
Allow your hands to gently rise up to just in front of your heart and hold out your challenge and see it absorbed into the energy body of Durga.
Let her take whatever it is and trust,
Trust that all will be well.
Bring the palms now together at the heart and bow your mind down and let it hook up with your heart.
And now offer a heartfelt prayer to the goddess.
O Durga,
O Ma.
We give great thanks for your protection,
For your strength and for your compassion.
As you observe Durga,
Allow her image to pour into your eyebrows center point.
Feel her form,
Feel your form.
What does it feel to be the goddess?
Sense your power and sense your inner strength.
Ground below,
Sky above.
When you are ready,
You can release your hands down.
Deepen your breath,
Wriggle a little and then softly and gently allow your eyelids to lift and open up to now.
