Find a comfortable position.

And I invite you now to just take a few gentle breaths in through the nose and out through the mouth.

Relax your jaw,

Relax your face muscles and allow your shoulders to fall away from each ear,

Melting away almost like a candle,

Becoming softer and softer with every breath.

I invite you to notice the length of each breath,

The length of the breath in and the length of the breath out.

You may notice that the out breath is slightly longer than the in breath.

Notice how it elongates as you become more and more relaxed.

Notice how as you fall deeper and deeper into your body,

Your body becomes softer and softer,

Breathing in through the nose and out through the mouth,

Noticing the length of each breath,

Noticing how your body reacts to the breath.

And now just preparing to end this meditation practice,

I invite you to shift your awareness to the sounds around you,

Inside the room that you're in.

And now shift your awareness to the sounds outside.

Allow some movement back into your body,

Moving your fingers and toes,

Just noticing the surface beneath you,

Slowly,

Gently opening your eyes to a soft gaze and in your own time,

Opening fully,

Returning to a seated position if you're lying down,

Taking a look around.

Just focus your attention on something that is round.

Notice its size,

Its color,

Its texture,

Every tiny detail.
