Let's get into today's meditation practice.
With a childlike heart,
Let's begin to close our eyes,
Letting go of anything you may have been carrying today,
Noticing it dissolve as you create space in your mind,
Not judging any thoughts that come in,
But rather letting them softly go.
Imagine yourself standing in a field,
And in the distance nearby,
You notice a young child,
Maybe 5 or 6 years old,
Blowing bubbles,
Smiling,
Having a great time.
As they turn around,
You notice that this child is you.
You see the twinkle and sense of wonder in their eyes as they laugh with delight.
You see the innocence and potential all around them.
And as you kneel down,
The child runs up and gives you the biggest hug.
It brings you a sense of remembering and knowing.
As you look into the child's eyes,
You see those are your eyes.
To this day,
Those are your eyes looking back at you.
The child hands you a bubble wand,
And you begin to blow bubbles with the child.
You're having a wonderful time,
And you realize that although you have experienced pain and hurt in this lifetime,
You are still that carefree,
Loving,
Curious,
Precious child.
You have that sparkle within.
Circumstances have shaped their thoughts and perceptions change,
But as you look at this child,
Tell them how proud you are of them.
Tell them how incredibly talented they are,
And how many lives they have touched.
You are always connected to this child.
As you give a final hug and say goodbye,
They run off into the distance,
The smile on their face.
And as you come back to the room,
You feel that child within your heart.
You feel comfort knowing that your inner child is always within.
Now as you open your eyes,
You feel the presence of your inner child with you.
How can you carry that with you today?
How can you play?
You still have unlimited access to the laughter,
The joy,
The sense of wonder that was once there.
It is all still there.
