Welcome to your Muladhara root chakra guided meditation.
Find your way into a seated position.
On a pillow,
Bolster,
Block or rolled up yoga mat,
Elevate your hips higher than your knees.
Allow yourself to settle into the earth with your palms onto your thighs face down,
Your elbows next to your ribcage relaxed.
Align your shoulders directly up over your hips.
With a slight tuck of your chin,
Extend and lengthen out through the crown of your head.
Let your face muscles soften.
As you draw your gaze towards the tip of your nose,
Look towards the earth and allow your eyes to close.
Settle into the earth.
As you witness your inhale and your exhale,
Begin to draw your awareness down to the base of your spine.
At the very base of your spine,
Bring your awareness here to the base of your spine.
You can begin to imagine that you're sitting on the earth,
Red clay,
Red clay below your body,
Soft clay-like dirt the color red sits below you as you settle into your seat.
Observe the quality of the earth element below you,
The earth that is firm,
Solid and still.
Notice the quality of the earth below you.
The soil is firm,
Stable and still.
The earth here supports you,
Holds you and lifts you up.
As you draw your awareness to the base of your spine,
Begin to notice how you feel sitting upon the earth.
What qualities does the earth hold for you?
As you observe the qualities of the earth,
Notice its stability,
Its firm,
Its predictable,
Holds you up so that your body can sit here upon the earth.
Feel the groundedness of the earth below you.
Begin to sense the stability of the earth element below your sitting bones,
Your shins and your knees.
As you repeat the mantra to yourself,
I am stable,
I am grounded,
I am hell.
I am stable,
I am grounded,
I am hell.
As you experience the stability and groundedness of the earth below you,
Think to yourself in your mind something in your life that makes you feel safe,
Secure and health.
Is it a warm hug from a friend you love?
Is it a text message or a phone call from someone asking how you are?
Is it a warm cup of tea at the end of the night?
Or a paycheck that comes in bigger than all the bills combined?
What in your life makes you feel safe,
Secure and health?
Experience that in your body now as you draw your mind's awareness to this.
This experience that makes you feel safe,
That reminds you you're supported,
Cared for and loved.
And from this sense of support,
Feel the groundedness below you,
The earth that is stable.
And remember that as you begin to reach up from the earth,
You are enough.
You have enough because you know the earth below you is your ground.
You know that you are held and you are safe.
Continue to experience the stability of the ground below you.
As you notice any feeling within your body of safety,
Security,
Fullness.
As you witness,
You feel the ground below you,
The qualities of the earth.
As your awareness reaches down towards the earth to sense the stability and groundedness,
Notice how from this place of security you're able to reach up and extend out through the crown of your head as a symbol that you are health.
You are safe and you have more than you need.
You can begin to imagine the lower base of your body as a hundred-year-old oak tree.
The roots from the base of your spine run deep down into the red clay soil,
Reaching down,
Down,
Down,
Rooting deeper and deeper from the base of your body and into the earth.
As you begin to reach out from this sense of rootedness up through the crown of your head,
It doesn't matter how windy it gets,
How stormy our external world becomes as we experience life on a day-to-day basis because we have the roots,
The stability in our bodies to stay grounded when life gets shaky.
Feel the sense of rootedness as you ground your legs into the earth just as the oak tree's roots run deep,
Deep,
Deep.
Feel your connection to the earth,
Your roots as you extend and reach up and out.
Repeat the mantra,
I am safe,
I am secure,
I am supported,
I am safe,
I am secure,
I am supported.
The earth below you is solid.
The earth below you is still.
Know that as you draw your awareness to the base of your spine and your attention to the stability of the earth element below you,
That she is your support,
Your anchor into safety,
Security,
And support.
The earth holds you.
She reminds you that no matter how windy it gets,
The earth stays solid and still.
Bring all your awareness to the very base of your spine.
Remember what in your life reminds you that you are safe and secure,
That you have all that you need and you are always supported,
Even when it gets shaky,
Even when it gets rough.
You are supported,
You are held,
And you are safe.
With all your awareness of the muhlada,
Our root chakra,
The anthesee mantra together,
Lam,
L-a-m,
Big breath in.
Lam.
May you always remember that you are safe,
Secure,
Supported,
And held.
Namaste.
