Welcome to day five of the seven day breath by breath meditation journey.
Today's practice called breath by breath I am powerful is going to help you tap into your inner strength.
So please come into a comfortable position either seated or lying down.
Close your eyes and beginning to notice the flow of your breath.
As you become aware of your breath invite it to slow down.
As you breathe in take the breath all the way to the top where it feels as though you can't take in any more air.
And then when you breathe out seek out the very end of your exhalation where it feels like you've completely emptied out your lungs.
And just do that a couple more times.
Breathe in fill your lungs all the way up and then breathe out empty out the last little bit of air from your lungs.
Now notice your body and how your body is doing today.
Are any parts of your body holding on tightly?
Are any parts of your body gripping with tension?
And see if you can just breathe out and let go of some of that stress so that your body feels a little bit more at ease.
Now shifting your attention to the center of your body the space right around your navel.
And as you sense into your belly just notice what sensations are arising there.
Does your belly feel relaxed and open or tight and constricted?
See if you can support your belly in taking up a little bit more space and see if you can breathe a little deeper allowing the breath to fill out that space.
Located here within our belly is an energy center called Menipura Chakra and this energy center specifically relates to our personal power.
So using our breath we are going to activate and awaken this energy center so that we can really be tuned in tapped in to our own inner sense of empowerment.
So zoom back in upon your navel center and sense how the breath is flowing through this area and then begin to visualize a globe of light right behind your navel.
This globe of light represents Menipura Chakra the solar plexus chakra that helps us feel a sense of inner power.
The color yellow associates with this chakra so if you'd like you can visualize this globe of emanating a soft yellow hue and using the breath as you breathe in you're going to imagine this globe of light expanding outward in all directions and as you breathe out imagine this yellow globe of light retracting back in and shrinking.
Breathing in expanding this globe of light outward in all directions and breathing out letting this globe of light release back in.
Continuing just like this and letting this globe of yellow light become as big as possible possibly engulfing your entire body and as you breathe out letting it come all the way back in possibly to just a single point of light.
Continuing this way at your own pace letting your inner power awaken.
Taking three more of these breaths breathing in expanding this energy center so that it engulfs your entire body.
Letting your entire body be infused with this yellow light awakening inner power and then as you breathe out letting this yellow globe of light shrink back in to a single point within your belly.
Take your last exhalation letting this globe of yellow light come all the way back in to the space behind your navel and then let go of that breathing practice and just come back to your natural breath and notice how you feel and if it resonates with you say silently or out loud to yourself I am powerful I am powerful and to seal in this sense of power come back to your solar plexus chakra this energy center within your belly and you get to decide how much power you have turned on in this moment so you may want to allow this chakra to expand and fill out the space of your belly and brighten up that area or maybe you need a little extra power today and you want to expand this inner globe of light all the way out to encompass your entire body almost as if you are contained within a yellow bubble of power or somewhere in between you decide how much power do you want to turn on within you right now take a moment using your imagination using the power of your visualization to determine that see what feels best to you and once that's complete take one or both hands and just rest them right over your belly feeling gratitude for this energy center within you that allows you to feel powerful take one last deep breath in through the nose and just sigh it out through an open mouth may you take the sense of empowerment with you into all that you do thanks for being here have a beautiful rest of your day
