So for this meditation make yourself comfortable in a way that feels nourishing and refreshingly at ease.
Really treating yourself to indulge in easeful rest and to sink right into deep contentment.
Maybe you'd prefer to lie down,
Taking the time to ensure that your body feels supported and really taking the necessary care to tend to your needs.
And so as a way to soften into your experience just notice where you most need to soothe away any tension in your body.
Releasing in the places which would appreciate that nourishing attention to dissolve any stress and then to rest as deeply as you dare and then to rest even more.
Sometimes when you feel you'd most like to calm right down it can be helpful to turn to the breath.
Focusing on how it can calm and comfort you like a loyal friend.
The gentle rocking or easeful soothing motion that breathing allows.
At other times it might be desirable to sink into your felt body and inhabit any warm softness like a cat snuggling up by a warm fire.
Inviting careful attention to the subtle sensations in your body as a way to soften and relax into spaciousness.
Exploring the subtle,
Expanding,
Softening and fully relaxing.
And as you nestle into that space of calm compassion,
Treating yourself to gentle relaxation just imagine what it would be like as an unborn baby in the womb snuggled up,
Supported in the most generous way,
Floating buoyantly,
Completely allowed,
Safely snuggled and supported in a way that allows you to feel completely spacious and free.
And at ease,
Open to receiving inner nourishment as a baby would through the umbilical cord and into the belly.
Being fed this most wholesome nectar and resting as you drink that nourishment directly into your belly.
Safe,
Supported,
Accepted,
Surrounded and held in a bubble of love.
A warm glow,
Allowed to be precisely as you are.
And lapping that nourishment up as an abundance of delight,
Exceeding the boundaries to fill you with deep contentment.
Snuggling in,
Receiving everything you need to thrive with the nutrients which encourage each cell in your body to renew and beam vibrantly.
To blossom generously or transform healthily.
Drinking that nectar into the belly is like receiving a gift of abundance.
A magical force which freshens and invigorates.
Trusting in life's ability to provide when you make yourself available to receive its wholesome gifts.
Notice how any edges can soften as you simply lay open without any preconceptions.
Because when all effort or resistances are relinquished,
Freer forces can delight you with something more powerful than you could have ever envisioned.
And far more in tune with harmonious currents which can flow throughout your body.
Like a cat sipping at delicious warm milk as it snuggles in.
Allowing yourself to feel supported by the earth.
As if the Great Mother could care so deeply as to include you in the bounty of life.
As a part of nature.
Growing,
Changing,
Made from the same substance as the rest of life.
All arising from the fertile earth.
Just as tiny seeds grow into majestic abundance.
Sprouting,
Opening,
Full of life.
The earth blossoms and produces fruits.
On releasing yourself from old ideas about who you think you are.
Or what you're able to do.
Or any worries or perceptions which prevent you from receiving nourishment from the earth.
To just remain open.
To replenish or realign with what feels more centred and composed.
And just observe what arises with openness.
As you deepen into that feeling of rest which allows you to free your mind and feel nourished.
You can imagine a warm glow surrounding your experience.
And in that state of refreshing,
Healing vibrancy.
You can just continue to lap that up for the last few moments of this meditation.
And I will leave you now to either enjoy or indulge a while longer in the inner nourishment which can pervade your experience.
Or you can simply bring this meditation to an end while carrying that delicious nectar with you into your activities.
