
Reiki Relaxation Circle Session 13
About three-quarters of the way through 2020, I felt that there was an immense need for healing, of humanity, and of the planet, and began doing a weekly online Reiki Relaxation Circle. This need continues today and I would love to have more people able to access these healing meditation sessions so I am sharing them here on Insight Timer. In this session, we focus on gratitude.

Hello everyone,
Welcome to this week's recorded Reiki Relaxation Circle for Wednesday the 25th of November 2020.
I'm Arwen from Evenstar Wellbeing and I'm really pleased that you have chosen to participate in this circle.
I would like to first of all pay my respects to the traditional custodians of the lands on which we participate from.
I would invite you to do that yourself for the land on which you are watching from.
For myself,
I would like to pay my respects to the elders past,
Present and emerging of the Wurundjeri people.
So with these circles I am offering you the chance for relaxation and healing simply by participating in the practice that we're going to do,
Which will involve two different meditations.
We usually go for around half an hour,
It's certainly no longer than 40 minutes.
And with the recording you are able to participate at any time and place that you want to and you will receive the energy that I am sending out because energy doesn't know what time is,
It doesn't know what location is either.
This energy that we are accessing through the practice of reiki is universal energy that is all around all of us,
All of the time.
And anyone can learn to access that energy and as a reiki practitioner that is what I am trained and attuned to do,
To channel that energy and then to send it wherever I intend to send it to.
So you do need to be somewhere where you are going to be comfortable.
It's not really a practice that's designed for you to listen to while you're going for a walk.
It's designed for you to be still and in the moment,
But you do need to be comfortable.
You can lie down or you can sit,
Just make sure that your temperature will be comfortable and that you won't be disturbed at a time when you don't want to be disturbed.
So I'd invite you to get yourself comfortable right now and we will then go into our first meditation.
So for most of these sessions we've been focusing on one of the principles of reiki.
And reiki is something that is not just an energy healing practice,
It really can be treated as a way of life.
So there are five principles that guide life if you want to invoke reiki into how you live your life.
And the five principles of reiki are,
For today only I will not be angry.
Or as I prefer to phrase it,
For today only I will let go of anger.
For today only I will let go of worry.
For today only I will live with gratitude.
For today only I will work hard on myself.
And for today only I will be kind to all people.
So I think we have covered them all off at least once in our practices over the last few months.
And for today I wanted to focus once more on the principle of gratitude.
So we are going to do as again we have done for most of the sessions,
We're going to focus on,
For today only I live with gratitude as a mantra for our first meditation.
So what this is,
Is something that allows you to keep refocusing your mind.
That is what a mantra is,
The mind vehicle.
And that is what the practice of meditation is,
It's about refocusing,
Refocusing,
Refocusing.
It is literally impossible for your mind to be empty.
So let go of that concept as you go into this practice.
And just be prepared to refocus your mind consistently using the mantra of,
For today only I live with gratitude.
So getting yourself,
Hopefully you're in that beautiful comfortable position and closing your eyes down now.
And starting to consciously let go of everything within your body.
Letting go of any tension,
Letting go of thoughts,
Letting go of sensations,
Feelings.
And what is going to happen is I am going to start sending energy out to you.
You may start to feel that as soon as I start sending it.
You may not notice anything but just know that it is being sent to you as a participant in this practice of this recording.
So what we'll do is use the Reiki Timer App to help us to refocus during this meditation.
So I'm going to set that timer and every minute we will have a lovely resonant gong play.
And I will restate that mantra of,
For today only I live with gratitude.
So what I'd invite you to do is in between,
So over that period of 60 seconds is to just repeat silently that phrase to yourself.
And try and keep that as the focus for your mind.
You will have other thoughts come in or sensations,
Sounds might come to you.
But the purpose of meditation is to refocus on whatever it is we're focusing on today being that mantra.
So taking some nice deep breaths right down into your belly and I'm going to start the timer.
And we will start our meditation practice,
Our gratitude practice of a mantra meditation for today only.
I live with gratitude.

So just remaining with your eyes closed.
And I didn't remind everyone to place your hands on yourselves at that time.
But if you have participated before perhaps you will have thought to do that.
But what we want to do now is actually place your hands facing away from you.
So palms away from your body depending on where you are,
Whether you're lying.
You might just like to turn your hands up so they're facing up and away from you.
If you're sitting then perhaps just rest your hands in your lap.
Palms facing up there as well.
The reason for this is that we are going to now channel energy through you and out to the wider community.
Out to every other living creature on the planet in ever-increasing waves.
And through the practice of me sending the energy to you,
You are still receiving that as well.
But it just allows us to spread our network as wide as we can.
Now beautifully in resonance with our gratitude mantra,
We're going to use gratitude even more to magnify the amount of energy that we can send out.
So one of the best ways to open up your heart center,
Your love energy,
Is with gratitude.
So no doubt you can already sense the heart space within your chest.
And you might even feel already like there's an enormous amount of energy being used,
Being received and being sent out through your heart space right now because we have been focusing on gratitude for five minutes.
But what I'd like you to do is to bring something to mind.
So to have a thought of something that you are grateful for,
Something that has happened within the last 24 hours and it can be something very small,
It doesn't need to be something major.
It might be that you had really great traffic on a drive somewhere that you've done within the last 24 hours.
But whatever it is,
Whatever you are grateful for,
Whatever comes to you first is the right thing.
But carry that thought into your heart space and feel that heart energy opening up and expanding even more.
And what I would like you to do now then is take your next big deep breath all the way into the bottom of your belly,
Noticing how it fills the heart up even more.
And when you exhale visualise and intend that you are sending loving healing energy out to every living creature within the building that you are currently in.
Breathing in again and then with the exhalation sending the energy out to every living creature within the neighbourhood where you currently are.
Breathing in again and with the exhalation sending every,
Sending everybody,
Every animal,
Every plant within your town or city that loving healing energy.
Breathing in once more and sending energy out with your exhalation to everybody in your state or territory,
Your province.
Big deep breath again and this time we are sending that loving healing energy out to everyone in your country.
And one last time breathing energy deeply into you with your inhalation and sending it out with the out breath to everybody in your country.
And breathing in once more sending energy out to every living creature on this planet.
And then we want to return the favour to the planet that gives us our life and our energy in the first place.
So breathing in and with your exhalation sending love,
Sending healing,
Sending gratitude to Mother Earth herself.
And I'd invite you to stay in that position with the hands facing outwards,
Sending energy out knowing that you are receiving it through you as well.
And focusing on the breath,
Breathing deeply and noticing how as you breathe deeply,
Breathing in,
Breathing out and releasing,
You're relaxing more and more.
Every breath that you take makes you relax your whole body deeper and deeper.
You're only receptive to good things.
This is not selfish because if you're able to share your talents and gifts and energy with the world,
You will need to be centred and focused and relaxed.
If you're stressed and in a hurry,
You'll only make others stressed and in a hurry as well.
Breathe in,
Breathe out,
Relax more and more.
Notice that your whole body is relaxed,
Your fingers and toes,
Your back is relaxed,
Your jaw and neck are relaxed.
You feel relaxed.
You know that everything is okay.
There's nothing to worry about.
Everything is working out fine.
You are good.
You love the world.
You love your life.
You love other people.
You have a deep gratitude towards the universe,
Giving you the gift of life.
You know that when you relax more and more,
Which you are doing now,
Into the knowledge of your inner fulfilment,
You know that everything falls into place in your life.
And the synchronicities happen just like magic.
Everything is perfect just the way it is.
Everything is okay.
You know that if you want to change anything,
You have to accept it first.
And after you've accepted it,
You have to love it.
And then you have to bring in a replacement.
What you resist persists.
What you release,
You can do whatever you want with.
Releasing is accepting.
And in its utmost consequence,
It is loving.
You are accepting and loving this universe and this planet for what it is.
Because it can be no different.
You trust that everything is happening for a reason,
In perfection,
In perfect harmony,
So that we all can develop and evolve further and further into this infinite time and space.
You are in the middle of this,
Knowing that this is so.
Your thoughts and feelings are creative.
You know that your feelings are the guidance system of your thoughts.
When you feel good,
Relaxed,
Fulfilled,
That is because you are focused on the conscious or subconscious thoughts that you think are good,
That are supporting you.
If you don't feel good,
You can be certain that it is because you're focusing on the thoughts that you don't want,
Consciously or unconsciously.
Your brain is thinking the thought and your heart is feeling them.
And you feel the feelings in your heart.
And your thoughts are creating whatever it is that you are thinking about constantly.
You are okay.
That is what you're thinking.
You are good.
We are good.
We are okay.
We are perfect and you're accepting that.
And if you want something instead,
You accept what it is first and then you insert the new thought of how it can be instead.
You love what is.
You accept all your creations.
All your creations are beautiful and wonderful and strong.
You accept everything about yourself,
About this world and about everyone else.
All the time.
Every hour,
Every minute and every second of the day.
You know that you can change your behaviour,
Your reactions,
Your patterns because you will remember constantly to check yourself.
You don't have to react negatively towards anything.
You only have to accept it.
And you are accepting it.
Whatever happens to you,
You are accepting it and you welcome it.
That way you are transforming it into something positive for you and everyone else.
Everything is okay.
You'll always remember that.
You'll always be calm.
You know that anger and resentment are not friends of yours anymore.
You know that calmness,
Joy,
Inside that puts a smile on your face and will constantly create the good things you want in your life.
Well anger and resentment will constantly create the bad things that you don't want in your life.
That's why you're choosing constantly from now on to accept and welcome and transform everything into positive energy for you and everyone else.
Everything is okay.
Everything is okay.
You love everything.
You love everything.
Your breath is deep and relaxed and you're feeling good.
You're feeling very good.
You're feeling better and better.
No matter what happens,
You know that by you feeling good,
You can change it.
You're feeling the bliss and the light of the source entering you.
You're feeling it filling up your chest,
Your heart,
Your body.
You're feeling it surging through your legs and up through your thighs,
Up through your back and your spine,
Up into your neck,
Into your head and down again,
Over your nose,
Your mouth,
Your throat,
Into your chest,
Down into your stomach,
Your groin and up again through your back,
Into your shoulders,
Out your arms,
Out from your hands and into the universe again.
This surge of energy is going from the source through you and back to the source and on the way it's backed up by other beings,
Humans,
Animals and plants,
All being rejuvenated by this energy.
It is spreading and cleansing through you and into the universe.
You have direct contact with the source and the light of the source is streaming through you.
You are feeling this now,
Getting energized,
Knowing that everything is okay,
Everything is perfect and you have the force to change whatever you want to change by loving it first.
Inserting new ideas coming from source,
The source of your soul.
And now you can start to come back to the present,
To the time and space in which your physical body is located.
You feel your body in the parts of your body,
You're coming back to this moment.
You can start to open your eyes when you're ready and know that you are full of energy,
Full of love,
Full of light.
That meditation was one that I would love to attribute to the person who wrote it but unfortunately I don't have those details.
