Find a comfortable position,
Preferably lying down with your back on the floor or on the bed.
Let your legs fall open naturally,
Arms resting by your sides and your palms facing upwards.
Make any small adjustments as you please,
To feel comfortable and completely at ease.
Once you've found stillness in this very moment,
Close your eyes.
Take a deep,
Slow breath in and exhale fully,
As if you are a vast,
Empty and peaceful space within.
Now allow the breaths to flow effortlessly,
Guiding you into a place of softness and surrender.
With every inhale,
Invite calmness and peace into your body and with every exhale,
Release any tension in your body,
Every thought on your mind or any weight you might be carrying.
Feel the surface beneath you,
The gentle support of the earth that is anchoring you to the ground like you belong to it,
As a child inside a mother's womb.
Let yourself be held completely,
There is nowhere else to go,
Nothing to do,
Just this moment of deep rest.
Allow your body to relax and your mind to settle into stillness,
As if you are the water itself.
As you continue to breathe naturally,
Feel yourself arriving here,
Now,
In this moment,
In this sacred space of awareness.
Yoga Nidra is the art of conscious relaxation,
A journey inward where the body sleeps,
Yet the mind remains awake and aware.
Through this practice,
You will be guided to release tension from every part of your body,
To rest deeply and to awaken to the quiet presence within yourself.
Take one more gentle breath in,
And as you exhale,
Let go,
Completely.
Surrender to the natural rhythm of your breath,
As if it is the music to which the life inside you dances,
To find the peace that already exists within.
Now,
Let us begin our journey.
