So if you're anything like me and have probably done a million Bible studies,
Or even if you haven't.
You might notice that you come across a passage.
From the Bible that really grips you.
And whether you've read it for the first time or whether you've read it a million times and there's a reason why it may grip you.
And so I like to use that as part of Alexio Divina practice.
But sometimes I just like to take the simplicity of a word or phrase and turn it into a mantra for meditation.
So we're going to do that.
So this passage is very short.
It's from Philippians.
And It basically means,
The Lord is here.
And so one of my favorite names for God is Adonai.
And the word basically is.
.
.
Nearness.
Karos.
Karos.
So we're going to be saying kadolf.
I don't know.
So let's get comfortable,
If you're not already.
I always like to have something under my seat.
To allow my hips to drop and that way you can have a little bit more of a upright spine.
As you know,
Sometimes we kind of slouch through time.
And and roll your shoulders down.
And just feel the breath coming in.
Down deep into your lungs but also opening up the collarbones so you breathe a little bit better you're almost lifting the sternum a little bit towards the skies and offering in that expanse of breath.
Will help settle you and anchor you and remind you that God is closer.
And then your breath.
And also serves as a reminder just throughout the day.
Meds.
You take a breath and maybe remember the mantra.
If not,
You would just remember the breath that you took.
While saying the mantra.
So remember the word Karuf.
I don't know.
Karov.
Adonai.
Cut off.
I don't know.
So you can close your eyes if that's comfortable for you.
Let's breathe in together.
Inhale.
Exhale,
Cuddle up.
Adonai Inhale.
Exhale,
Cut off.
I don't know.
And with every inhale you.
.
.
Open up.
And as you say the mantra,
Just feel your body relaxing as the mantra washes over you.
Inhale.
Exhale.
Garud Arunai.
Inhale.
I don't know,
Just see if all of you relaxes on the exhale.
Inhale.
Taroth Adonai And even as you say the mantra,
If you speak it deep enough,
You can kind of feel your sternum,
Your chest area.
Vibrating.
On your own.
Get off.
I don't lie.
Get off.
I don't lie.
Garoth Adonai And just make sure that you bathe in that silence after the mantra.
That beautiful pause.
Get off,
Adonai.
Bye.
Karoth Aronai.
And I'll be right back.
Garof Adonai.
Take care of Adonai.
Let's see if you can which is kind of.
.
.
Just sit in silence for a moment or two.
And if your mind drifts away,
You just repeat the mantra.
Get off.
Adonai,
The Lord is here.
The Lord is here.
The Lord is always here.
Nothing we forget.
How close the Lord is at all times.
And if we can remember that.
Keep God in mind at all times.
Letting God.
Be with your thoughts.
Be with your words.
Be with your actions.
And even if somebody comes at you with something contradictory.
You remind yourself the Lord is near.
Maybe that person has forgotten.
And you don't need to preach Just remember,
Kadolf adonai.
The Lord is here.
The Lord is near.
And that will have an effect on how you present yourself.
To that person.
And even if that person does not change,
That's not up to you.
You've at least done your part.
St.
Francis said.
Preach the gospel.
Always and sometimes use words or use words when necessary.
So just by your very essence of your being.
Your gestures.
Your face expressions.
Can affect.
And dozens of people.
Throughout the day.
People watch those of faith very closely.
Looking for an excuse.
To label you a hypocrite.
But in essence we're all hypocrites,
Aren't we?
But then just say,
Mm,
Thank you.
I did it again.
But I know that the Lord is near.
The Lord is here.
Carols.
Adonai.
And so wherever you are in the world,
Just remind yourself of that.
Let it guide your words,
Your thoughts,
Your actions.
And peace be with you.
