Begin in a comfortable position either lying down or seated.
Turn your attention to your breath and deepen your breathing ever so slowly.
Breathing in through the nose and out through the mouth and notice your body beginning to relax.
You are exactly where you need to be.
Right here,
Right now.
I want you to imagine walking through a library and stumbling across a book on the shelf that really captures your attention.
You pull out the book and notice that it has your name on the front.
You quickly flick through this book and notice that in the book is a summary of your whole life.
Every page is a new day and every page has memories.
Memories that have been good.
Memories that have been painful.
And memories that you forgot you had.
In the book might be some things you're embarrassed by,
You're ashamed by,
Or things that still upset you.
But there's also things in that book that you are so proud of.
The best day you have ever had in your life is written in that book.
I want you to flick through the pages until you find it.
Find that page,
Find that moment,
And just feel the emotion that's arising.
How is this moment and how is this memory making you feel?
Are you feeling happy?
Are you feeling overwhelmed with joy?
How does that feel within your body?
Where do you feel that within your body?
Do you feel it in your chest space?
Are you noticing that you're smiling?
How does the emotion actually feel?
And allow yourself to feel it.
You hold this book to your heart and know that these positive feelings you can help return at any time.
You flick forward within your book and it brings you to today's day.
And you notice that from here on out your book is blank and it's yet to be written.
You are the author of your own life.
You get to choose what appears on your next pages.
We don't know how long your book will be,
But we know that you're able to choose.
You're able to choose what you want those pages filled with.
What were those happy memories that you wanted to revisit from the past?
And how can you make them appear more in your future?
You have survived your hardest days.
And you have had one of your best days.
How can we make the rest of your book feel so good next time you visit this shelf?
Do you need to really consider your job prospects?
Are you currently in employment that you don't love and that doesn't light you up?
Are you involved in a relationship that you know isn't good for you?
Are you surrounding yourself with people that aren't your people?
What needs to change in the rest of your book?
Remain focused a little while longer.
Focusing on what you want to change.
And knowing that you have the power to change it.
Every day and every moment we make a choice to become closer to being the person we want to be.
Or further away from the person we want to be.
I want you to start making towards moves.
Because I want you to be proud of the remainder of your book.
Remain here a little while longer.
And start to consider some of your next steps.
Really allow the message to land.
That you get to choose.
And you get to be whoever you want to be.
What are your next steps?
When you are ready I want you to begin by rubbing your palms against your thighs.
Back and forward and feeling yourself become grounded back into this moment.
You might like to prefer to rub your hands together.
Or rub them against the carpet or the surface that you are sitting on.
Feel yourself begin to become grounded back into this moment.
Take three deep breaths at a rate that suits you.
And when you are ready you can open your eyes.
