Thankful For The Stars

Imagine a dark night.

A sky covered in shining stars.

As many as they are above your head.

Laying back,

Stargazing.

Begin to count them one by one until you realize how difficult a task it would be to count every one.

Now listen to this scripture.

Genesis 15 and 15.

Then the Lord took Abram outside and said to him,

Look up into the sky and count the stars if you can.

That is how many descendants you will have.

Listen to it one more time.

Then the Lord took Abram outside and said to him,

That is how many descendants you will have.

This scripture and the stars you've imagined are a reminder of God's promise.

He will not only give you what you asked,

But more than you can imagine.

Abram prayed for a child and he was blessed with a countless number of descendants.

As you continue stargazing,

Take a deep breath in and as you release,

Count another set of stars.

Breathe in and release.

Continue gazing for a moment.

Give praise to God for the stars and his promise.

As you bring this meditation to a close,
