My name's Carla Di Crezza and this is Bumbi the bumblebee breath meditation for kids.
Now find a comfy spot to sit or lie down.
You can rest your hands either on your belly or on your knees,
Wherever they feel comfortable.
Now let's take a big breath in through your nose and let it out through your mouth with a sigh.
If it feels okay,
You can gently start to close down your eyes or just allow them to be soft.
Let's take one more deep breath in,
In through your nose,
Fill up your belly,
Fill up your lungs and your heart,
And exhale,
Sigh it out.
Okay,
Now imagine a little bumblebee has come to visit you.
Hello,
Little Bumbi the bumblebee.
You can see its fuzzy yellow and black stripes,
Its tiny wings buzzing softly as it floats in the air.
Let's see if we can buzz just like our bumblebee friend.
Take a slow breath in through your nose and as you breathe out,
Make a gentle humming sound like this.
Hmm,
Feel how your lips and your chest gently tingle as you hum and it might even make you giggle a little.
You might feel a bit silly and that's okay.
The bumblebee loves the giggles and loves laughter.
Let's try it again.

Let's take a big breath in.
Hmm,
See how long you can go.
Hmm,
And then take a big breath in.
So each time you hum,
Imagine the bumblebee buzzing happily around you,
Making circles around your head,
And maybe even collecting any little worries or frowns it finds.
Just for now.
Let's try that again.
Deep breath in and as you breathe out,
Let's hum.
Hmm,
Nice.
Can you see Bumby the bumblebee buzzing around your head?
And so as bumblebee collects any thoughts or any worries that you feel you don't need,
You don't have to hold on to them.
The bumblebee will take care of them while you breathe out and while you hum.
And you can just notice the thoughts and let them go.
Maybe you can feel your shoulders start to relax.
Maybe your heart feels a little lighter and your mind a little calmer.
Take one last big breath in through your nose and this time hum your longest,
Happiest,
Most extravagant hum yet.

Let your buzzing bumblebee fly off to rest on a flower nearby.
You can start to wriggle your fingers and wriggle your toes,
And maybe your eyes start to open.
