This guided meditation will focus on replacing our impulsive desires with conscious ones. It’s natural to have desires. Our actions are motivated by our desires. Without desire, we lack the fire that it takes to manifest action. And yet, many of us can be confused and sometimes disappointed by our desires. Often, our desires can lead to stress, anger, resentment, and more. You may wonder, is desire a bad thing? No! Having desire is not wrong. Having an impulsive desire is the problem. We need conscious desire to nurture our happiness and spiritual growth.

It's natural to have desires.

Our actions are motivated by our desires.

Without desire,

We lack the fire that it takes to manifest action.

And yet,

Many of us can be confused and sometimes disappointed by our desires.

Often our desires can lead to stress,

Anger,

Resentment,

And more.

You may wonder,

Is desire a bad thing?

No,

Having desire is not wrong.

Having an impulsive desire is the problem.

We need conscious desire to nurture our happiness and spiritual growth.

This guided meditation will focus on replacing our impulsive desires with conscious ones.

Let's begin with a few deep breaths.

Make your posture comfortable,

Relax.

As you begin this meditation,

Pay close attention to the sound of your heartbeat.

Listen closely to the sound of your breathing.

Now,

Pay attention to who is listening to your breathing and your heartbeat with you.

The one who is listening within is our awareness.

This awareness is a gentle and powerful force.

When we are aware of this awareness,

It takes less effort to manifest our deepest desires.

When we are out of touch with this awareness,

We will not have success no matter how much effort we channel into our desires.

Take the next few moments to feel the flow of your awareness.

As you feel comfortable,

Bring your awareness to your heart center.

This is the center of conscious desire.

Take a moment to listen to your heartbeats and stay with your heart.

And now,

Keeping your awareness on the heart,

Let's begin mindful breathing.

Gently,

Inhale the breath.

Hold it for a moment and breathe out.

Again,

Inhale.

Hold.

Exhale.

Inhale.

Hold.

Exhale.

One more time.

Breathe in.

Hold it.

Breathe out.

And now,

Continue to inhale and exhale at your own pace.

Keep my breath.

And exhale.

With each breath movement,

Let go of your impulses.

Invite your consciousness to guide you in your desires.

As you are breathing in and out,

Plant this intention in your heart.

I will replace my impulsive desires with conscious desires.

I will replace my impulsive desires with conscious desires.

Trust your awareness to support this intention.

And now,

Surrender and release the intention out there with complete faith.

For the rest of this meditation,

Allow yourself to move into the silence of your heart.

And now,

Surrender and release the intention out there with complete faith.

As you move deeper,

Be relaxed.

And now,

Surrender and release the intention out there with complete faith.

And now,

Surrender and release the intention out there with complete faith.

Remember,

Desires don't need to be destroyed.

Desires need to be transformed.

And now,

Surrender and release the intention out there with complete faith.

And now,

Surrender and release the intention out there with complete faith.

And now,

Surrender and release the intention out there with complete faith.

Trust your consciousness to guide you in the direction of growth and fulfillment.

And now,

Surrender and release the intention out there with complete faith.

As you finish this meditation,

Take a moment to be grateful for this experience.

Sit in silence for another few minutes before you resume other activities.
