Welcome to this recharge meditation to renew your energy for the day.
If you're feeling tired,
Lacking energy or low in motivation,
This meditation is designed to help you make a few gentle adjustments to flip your switch,
Your energy source back on.
I want you to find a comfortable place to sit where you won't be disturbed.
Your spine is long and strong.
Lowering your gaze or gently closing down your eyes as you come into stillness,
Become aware of your body breathing.
Take three deep breaths.
Breathe deep and full.
Feel the pleasure in this simple act of your breathing.
Wherever you are,
I want you to imagine that there is sunlight coming into your room.
The warmth of the sun shining down on your scalp,
Head and the back of your neck.
Gently tingling your scalp,
Your neck relaxes,
Your jaw unclenching.
The sun now kissing your face.
You might smile into your eyes.
The outer corner of the eyes lifting into a smile.
Your brow smooth.
Let your mouth gently smile also.
The inside of the mouth smiling.
The cheeks while the face relaxes.
Feeling the aliveness in the face being kissed by this sunlight.
Imagine the sun beaming now across your shoulders.
So your shoulders feel soft and relaxed.
Visualize the shoulders breathing from the inside out.
Your collarbones relax.
Now imagine the sun shining on your chest.
Notice the beat of your heart.
Taking the breath into your chest and smiling into the heart.
Imagine with the breath it unlocks all the tight corners within you.
And feel a gentle smile spread through your heart.
Imagine now this sunbeam on your belly.
Breathing into your stomach,
Expanding on the in-breath and relaxing on the out-breath.
The blades,
Middle back and lower back relaxing.
The warmth of the sun bringing all your muscles into a state of easiness and peace.
The back of your spine becoming heavy and relaxed.
With each breath soften,
Relaxing.
The sun beaming now down the length of your arms.
Your upper arms,
Elbows,
Forearms,
Wrists.
The sunlight warming your entire hands,
Your palms,
Your fingers,
The joints within your fingers,
The thumbs warm,
Relaxed,
Softening.
The sunlight caressing down your legs.
Feel your quads,
Your hamstrings,
Your knees,
Lower legs heavy and relaxed as they are being drenched in this sunlight.
The whole body being filled with the ease and friendliness from the warmth of this sun.
The sunbeam is now shining here on your ankles and your feet.
The tops of your feet,
The pads of your feet,
The soft skin on your inner arches,
Your heels,
Letting both feet become more relaxed.
Feeling this sunlight all the way through the body,
Into your toes.
Allow each toe to soften.
Each joint in the toes warm,
Soft,
Relaxed.
Feel the sunlight travel all the way from the top of your head and out through your toes.
All the tension and tightness melting away.
Imagine cutting the ties to these tense places,
Letting it go,
Letting it go,
And allow yourself to be carried into this mysterious and loving light around you.
Surrender here for a few moments,
Breathing in and out.
Inhale,
I'm aware of my in-breath.
Exhale,
I'm aware of my out-breath.
Allowing your practice to be very simple,
To rest with the breath,
Relax with the breath.
Let this current of sunlight energy run through you.
Taking this moment to choose more love,
More light,
More of everything that makes your heart renew.
And when you gently start opening up your eyes,
Feel the rush of consciousness back into your body.
Let yourself surrender to the powerful choice that this can be your go-to tool daily to bring you back into mental alignment and a brilliant way to restore your energy for the day.
