If you feel like your light has dimmed because you're always giving,
This is for you.
This is a short practice for anyone who feels called to create,
To speak,
To contribute,
But feels tired,
Guilty,
Or stretched thin.
You might tell yourself there's no time,
No energy,
That taking care of yourself is indulgent.
But the truth is this,
When you fill your own cup first,
Your presence becomes magnetic,
And that energy moves outwards.
If it feels okay,
Place one hand on your chest,
Or simply notice where the breath lands.
Inhale through the nose for four.
Exhale slowly for four.
Again,
Inhale for four.
Exhale slowly for four.
Now we'll add a simple phrase to each breath.
Inhale.
I'm allowed to fill myself first.
Exhale.
My energy expands when I do.
Inhale.
I'm allowed to fill myself first.
Exhale.
My energy expands when I do.
Keep breathing slow and steady at a pace that works.
Inhale.
I don't dim my light by resting.
Exhale.
I make space for it to rise.
And if you're a parent,
This matters more than you think.
When you allow your voice to rise,
When you take care of your body,
Your mind,
Your inner life,
Your children don't lose you.
They feel your magnetism.
They feel your presence.
They learn what it looks like to live in alignment.
You don't need to earn rest.
You don't need to prove your worth before you pause.
Filling yourself first is not selfish.
It's how your energy reaches the world.
Take one final breath in for four,
And out for four.
And when you return,
Carry that light with you.
If this helped you,
You're welcome to place it on repeat,
Share it with someone who needs it,
Or subscribe.
I create short practices for people who give a lot.
We rise together.
