Close your eyes,
Take a slow breath in,
A long breath out and again breathing in,
Softening,
Breathing out,
Resting.
For this gentle journey that you are going to take,
Bring to mind your own personal intention that you might wish to set for this moment now.
And let your breath be an anchor that will always guide you back into the moment if you feel a little lost or your mind distracts you.
Bring your attention all the way down to the soles of your feet.
As you breathe in,
Feel the breath rise from the soles of your feet all the way up to the crown of your head.
As you breathe out,
Send the breath from the crown of the head all the way down to the soles of your feet.
Again,
Breathing in from the soles of the feet all the way up to the very crown of your head.
And as you exhale,
Exhale out from the very crown of your head all the way down to the soles of the feet.
Breathing in,
Up and this time just a little bit out from the crown of the head just above and exhaling all the way down and out through the soles of the feet and down reaching into the earth beneath you.
Breathing all the way up and out through the crown of the head rising up towards the sun,
The moon,
The stars.
Breathing out all the way down through your body out through the soles of the feet and deeply connecting into Pachamama beneath you.
And this is your anchoring breath,
Allowing yourself to be rooted and divinely connected above.
Your roots deep down in the earth just for now holding you so you don't have to hold yourself.
Just like the earth holds the forests,
The mountains,
It holds you now too.
And visualize before you a forest,
It starts to gently appear dense,
Dark,
Beautiful,
Ancient.
And you are here beneath the dark moon sky.
You walk mindfully towards your forest.
The scent of damp earth and moss fills the air.
The forest floor is soft beneath your feet.
And you can hear branches just creaking gently above you.
Leaves whispering in the night breeze and an owl calling softly in the distance.
And as you walk deeper into the forest,
You begin to feel the energy here,
The spirit of the forest,
Wise,
Old,
Watching over you gently.
And the darkness here is welcoming,
Not fearful.
It's as if you have entered a great living temple.
And ahead of you,
The trees begin to open into a clearing.
And as you look up,
The sky dotted with stars and the cool earth is soft beneath your feet.
And in the center of the clearing burns a small fire.
Its glow is soft and golden against the darkness.
And you sit and you rest peacefully,
Quietly.
And from the darkness beyond the trees,
You feel an energy approaching.
Slowly,
Carefully.
A spirit animal guide.
Give it time to reveal itself naturally.
It might be you notice a shape or its movement or its energy.
And this being comes closer to you now and it carries medicine for you.
This may be strength,
Protection,
Freedom,
Wisdom,
Trust,
Instincts.
How do you feel in its presence?
Safe,
Seen,
Remembered.
Turn towards your being and softly and lovingly ask,
What do I need to see or feel right now in this moment?
And is there anything I need to release?
And the fire is a portal where you can gently blow anything that you wish to let go of now into the flames.
It leaves your body.
It flows through the fire where it is transformed and shifted and it moves down into the earth.
Pachamama receives it without judgment and transmutes it and lets it go.
Now your spirit animal is inviting you to follow and you notice something that you hadn't seen before,
A entrance to a cave that was almost hidden by the trees and together you step inside and the cave is warm,
A cocoon,
A womb space of the earth,
A place of stillness,
A place of deep rest,
A place where everything feels like it becomes quiet enough so you can truly hear your soul again.
Rest here with your guide.
Just rest.
Let your breath be your anchor flowing up and down your body,
Calming your nervous system,
Softening and releasing.
And in the darkness of the cave,
You become aware of a soft golden light glowing.
This is coming from you,
Deep within your chest and your heart.
This is your soul light,
Calm and steady.
Even in those darkest moments,
Your light is always within you and in this stillness and peace and cocoon of rest,
Your light returns brighter,
Stronger and with this clarity,
With this calmness,
Your spirit animal is ready to offer one more message,
One final blessing,
One final gift to you,
A feeling or wisdom for you to carry forward with you.
Be open to receive what comes.
And together,
You and your guide begin to leave the cave,
Walking back through the dark,
Calm forest,
The earth beneath your feet,
The scent of trees and soil and the night air is cool against your skin,
Your spirit animal beside you until you start to notice that it slows down and eventually pauses,
Encouraging and lovingly guiding you to continue onward,
Knowing that you can call upon it again anytime.
It leaves you with a smile,
It leaves you with this message,
May the calmness,
May earth continue to hold you long after this journey ends.
May the soil beneath your feet remind you that you are here now in this moment and that your spirit animal will be beside you through both the darkness and the light,
Protecting you,
Guiding you,
Helping you trust your instincts again and again.
Your guide is reminding you that rest is important and stillness is medicine and not all growth and achievements need to be seen to be real,
Just like the roots underneath the earth,
That quiet strength within you.
Allowing yourself and giving yourself permission to rest and to be still and to be held.
Rest is sacred.
Gently returning to your breath,
Rising up from the soles of the feet,
All the way to the crown and exhaling all the way from the crown to the soles of the feet.
Your breath returning you back,
Your anchor bringing you back into your body,
Into the space that you're in,
Into this loving resting moment once more.
Namaste.
