Let the day go, we cannot change what has been and gone, we can't force what may happen tomorrow, so now is time to leave the day behind and release the energy of the day. It is time to rest, heal and restore your calmness for a deep healing sleep.

Close your eyes now and arrive into this moment.

Notice the sound of the room around you,

Notice the sound of my voice,

Notice the rhythm of your breath and the ground that's supporting your body.

I invite you to leave the day behind,

To release the energy of the day from your fingertips and from your toes.

Imagine your body is like a flower,

The petals opening and if you need to,

Stretch out into your bed,

Yawn,

Sigh and wriggle in to the covers a little,

A little deeper.

If it's comfortable to do so,

Rest your hand on your heart and follow the rise and the fall of your breath.

The day is done and now it's time to give yourself the gift of rest and release and calm.

And in this moment,

Agree that you cannot go back into the day to change anything that has happened.

And in this moment,

Agree that you cannot jump forward to tomorrow to change anything that might happen then.

Say to yourself,

I am here now and this is my time to rest.

Let your sweet,

Delicate heart open up as you breathe,

Allowing the breath to flow freely and just as easily allowing compassion and love to flow in and to flow out.

It's time now to release layer upon layer upon layer of energy,

Expectations,

Experiences that may have piled up on top of you today and by releasing them one by one,

You free yourself to give yourself the gift of sleep,

Which is the gift of healing.

Give yourself and your mind the gift of peace.

Beginning with anything that you intended to do today that didn't get done,

Let that go.

Let go of any feelings of doubt that you didn't do things correctly or the right way today,

Let that go.

Let go of any questions that are still floating around in your head,

Set them free,

Like gentle bubbles rising up and floating away.

Release any expectations about this evening's sleep and any expectations of how the day may look tomorrow,

Let it all go.

For now,

Now is time to rest.

Now is time to surrender.

Set free any expectations that others may have placed upon you today and invite a soft,

Gentle flow of forgiveness to flow through your body towards yourself,

From yourself.

And then follow that with love,

Allowing love to flow freely to yourself,

From yourself,

From the top of your head,

All the way down to the tips of your toes.

Bring your awareness back to your beautiful heart center and spend a moment asking yourself gently,

If there's anything that needs your attention right now in this moment,

More than rest,

Could you let that go?

Your body so soft,

And so gentle,

And so calm,

And so peaceful.

And now we have set free the energy of restriction,

So we can become unbound and light and surrender to sleep.

Invite your body to start to feel heavier,

Starting with your feet and your ankles,

Let them soften into the bed.

Soften the lower legs and the knees,

Feeling them drop heavier and heavier.

The thighs,

The buttocks,

The lower back,

And soften all around the belly and the chest,

Allowing the breath to travel in slower and deeper than before.

With every exhale,

Your body goes heavier and heavier and heavier.

Let your arms feel as if they are melting down in towards the bed.

Your elbows soften,

Your wrists,

Hands and fingers,

Heavy,

Heavy.

Feel your throat and your jaw soften,

Allow the lower jaw to drop a little away from the top.

If your eyes are still open,

Close the eyes or roll your eyes down as if you're looking at your heart center.

Relax your cheeks,

Ears,

Forehead,

And soften the scalp.

Feel a warm sensation flowing down from the top of your head,

Internally and externally,

Like honey,

Flowing warm,

Softly down through your body,

A sensation of deep rest.

Feel the warmth of the energy that travels all the way down your spine,

Down the front top of your body,

Down the legs,

And all the way to the feet and down into the earth.

It feels now as if your body couldn't even move if it wanted to.

With every exhale,

Dropping deeper and deeper into a space of deep relaxation and healing.

You are in a cocoon of warmth and love and support in this moment.

Unconditional love and healing energy flowing gently,

Softly.

In this moment,

You deserve nothing but love,

And love running through every cell in your body.

Realizing now that the calmness and peace you were searching for all day was within you all along.

Rest in this space.

When the world feels so big,

So noisy,

So chaotic,

You can always find your way back here.

You can always find your way home.

Everything you need is within you.

You are your own healer.

Rest here in this cocoon of healing love.

Taking you deeper and deeper into sleep.

Taking you deeper and deeper into healing.

And deeper and deeper into love.

And the love and the healing and the rest,

All radiating out from your heart center to every beautiful cell in your body and beyond,

Will continue to flow all the way through your peaceful healing sleep.
