Welcome! This is a grounding breath meditation that will put you and your experience in touch with the universe. Reminding you that every cell of your being has the power to affect the universe and that really you are one with it. The meditation will assist in grounding you as well as bring ease to the body and allow for mindfulness of breath. Namaste.

Welcome to this meditation.

Begin in a comfortable seat.

Find length in your spine.

Rest your hands in your lap or on your knees,

Palms facing down to ground you.

Gently close the eyes.

Begin to settle into your flow of breath,

Taking in air and then releasing it at your own pace.

Purifying breath in,

Cleansing breath out.

The breath you take in gives you life.

This breath reaches all parts of the body,

Renews each and every cell,

And then you release that breath back out into the world,

And it is changed.

Your body has changed it,

And you have directly made change to the universe.

Cleansing breath in,

Cleansing breath out.

How we breathe affects us.

When we restrict the breath on the inhale,

It affects how it reaches each corner of the body.

A restricted breath affects our heart rate.

A soft breath of ease affects each cell as well.

Each breath is the beginning of a chain reaction of events,

Not just in the body and mind,

But in the universe.

Consider that the breath is not all you take in and then put back out into the universe.

Soft breath in,

Soft breath out.

Consider how the intake of other people's energy affects us and our behavior,

Positive or negative,

And how we release that energy back out into the world afterward.

Gentle breath in,

Gentle breath out.

Consider your choices of what you intake and then release.

Media,

Social media,

Others,

Drama,

Unprocessed emotions,

Joy,

Love,

Gratitude,

And so on.

All we intake reaches every corner of the body,

And then somehow we change it or it changes us,

And we release part of that changed or unchanged energy back out into the universe.

We do not operate on our own,

Untouched from the world,

Nor does the world operate untouched by us.

Refreshing breath in,

Cleansing breath out.

Bring ease and release throughout the body.

Inhale,

Focus.

Exhale,

Joy.

Release any tension you feel in the hands,

In that place between the eyebrows.

Relax the jaw.

Inhale,

Gratitude.

Exhale,

Peace.

Inhale,

Strength.

Exhale,

Resilience.

Let us harness our breath today with a personal intention of positivity,

Whatever that means for you.

Let us be mindful and aware of what we take in and then what we exhale back out into the universe.
