Find the power and bravery of a bear as you journey through the forest. Tap into your power, practice relaxing breath work, and discover the power of affirmations. This mediation is suitable for children who are 3+, but everyone is welcome to join in! Please be aware that adults may find the pace slightly quicker as this was created for children. Younger children may need a grown-up to support them with their affirmations.

Hello,

Welcome to this meditation led by Claudia Silas,

A mindful movement and meditation teacher.

Hello,

Let's begin today by finding a comfortable position,

Either sitting or lying down.

See if you can close your eyes and take a few deep breaths.

Breathing in,

Breathing out.

Breathing in and breathing out.

Breathing in and breathing out.

I want you to imagine yourself in a beautiful forest.

You can see tall trees all around you,

Colourful flowers and plants.

You can hear the sound of birds chirping and feel the soft grass beneath your feet.

As you explore the forest,

You come across a magnificent bear.

You feel safe,

The bear is protecting you.

Watch the bear as they move around the forest.

You begin to move closer to the bear,

Noticing how wonderfully powerful and brave they are.

The bear turns to face you and nods its head.

The bear asks you if you would like to come on an adventure with them.

Gently,

The bear lowers down so that you can climb up onto their back,

Feeling how powerful and brave you also are.

Together with the bear,

You now explore the forest fearlessly.

You climb trees,

Cross rivers and navigate through difficult situations with the bear guiding and protecting you.

As you continue to journey with the bear,

You realise that you can face any difficulties that come your way,

As you are powerful and brave.

After spending time with the bear in the forest,

You thank them for helping you and taking you on a journey.

The bear nods once again and slowly disappears into the forest.

Slowly take three big breaths in and out.

Breathing in and breathing out.

Breathing in and breathing out.

I want you to repeat these affirmations to yourself.

I'll say them first and then you can repeat.

I am powerful.

I am powerful.

I am powerful.

Now you.

I am brave.

I am brave.

I am brave.

Now you.

You can carry this feeling of the bear's strength and bravery and tap into this inner power whenever you need it.

Remember that you are capable of facing any challenges with courage and confidence.
