Begin by finding a comfortable position,
Whether that be sitting or lying down.
Roll your shoulders down your spine.
Rest your hands wherever comfortable.
Take a really deep breath in all the way to the bottom of your lungs.
Then let it out.
Do this a few times.
Inhale and fill up your belly and your chest.
And on your exhale let it all out.
Completely emptying your lungs.
Continue to breathe,
Deepening each inhale and lengthening each exhale.
Notice how your body starts to relax with the more deep breaths you take.
Notice how when your body relaxes your mind starts to slow down.
Allow yourself to completely let go of all of your thoughts here.
Really connecting to nature and to the sound of water.
Water is so symbolic of so many things.
It is connected to the sacral chakra.
The chakra of sexuality and emotions,
Fluidity.
Water is so powerful.
Just imagine yourself swimming against the current upstream.
All of the energy you expend,
All of the work.
It doesn't always get you anywhere.
And imagine yourself actually going with the flow,
The water or life,
However you want to look at it.
Notice the difference.
Letting go of the struggle creates a sensation in your body of fear or anxiety.
It's just the fear and anxiety of the unknown.
The thought of letting go of control brings up physical sensations in your body that you have labeled in such a way that you do not feel a positive experience.
Allow yourself to accept the beauty of this.
One thing that I read that really changed my practices of yoga and meditation was a quote about this very thing.
That the physical sensation in your body of anger or fear,
Anxiety,
Whatever it is that you may feel in this moment or any moment is not the yoga or the meditation that is making you angry or making you feel those things.
It's actually the yoga or the meditation that's allowing you to connect with these feelings that you're holding onto.
It's your physical body letting you know that those feelings are still there,
Providing you with ample opportunity to let it go.
Imagine yourself floating in this river,
The current taking you down,
Taking care of you.
And allow all of these feelings,
Fear,
Anxiety,
Anger,
Whatever comes up to just be washed away.
Washed away in the stream with the flow in the current.
Allow yourself to be guided.
Release any idea of control.
Hing Allow the thoughts that no longer serve you to be washed away.
Allow the sensations,
The physical sensations you have been holding onto in your body to be washed away.
Activate each of the three trillion cells in your body to completely let go.
To let go of all that is no longer serving you.
To let go and to let the stream just wash it away.
Let go of tension.
Let go of stress.
Let go of anything you have to do.
Let go of the images.
Who you think you have to be to show up for anyone else in your life.
Take this time to really connect with you,
With love,
With joy,
With bliss,
With gratefulness.
Now that those cells feel so empty having let go,
Fill them back up.
Stay here as long as you need.
When you are ready to come out,
Simply open your eyes.
