Visualization meditation is wonderful for beginners and anyone who struggles with wondering thoughts. By visualizing the color gold, you are fusing your breath, mind, and body with a color that symbolizes nourishment and warmth. In Ayurveda, the color gold is the most transformative color, strengthening the emotional heart and building ojas. Gold is a sattvic color and helps to heighten your spiritual healing energy.

Today we will practice our gold color meditation.

So find a comfortable seat with a tall spine,

Palms resting in the lap face up,

And close the eyes.

Begin by taking a few deep breaths in through the nose and out through the nose.

Softening the jaw,

Relaxing the shoulders down.

Try to relax the tummy and let it move freely with the breath.

Breathing in and breathing out.

Begin to envision a golden color up in the sky.

As you breathe,

Watch this golden ball slowly move closer to you and then settling under your feet.

The golden ball is about the size of a tennis ball.

Feel a gentle warmth coming from the golden light on the bottoms of your feet.

It is soft and comforting to you.

With each breath,

Feel the warmth begin to move up your feet,

Up to your ankles.

Let all the muscles,

Tendons,

And bones relax in your feet.

If you feel any place that has tension,

Invite the golden light into that place in your feet and feel it pass.

Now feel the light permeate its way up into your legs,

Warming the ankles.

The golden ball embracing your legs all the way up to your knees.

Your calves softening,

Letting go of any tension in the lower legs.

The golden light moving up the legs,

Warming the hamstrings,

The thighs,

Spreading into your hips and groin.

Your entire pelvis is bathing in the beautiful,

Comforting warmth of the golden light.

Breathe into your pelvis.

Breathe into your legs.

Let the light sink into the tissues,

The bones,

Deep into the root of your body.

Find any areas in the bottom half of your body that need the comfort of the warmth of the golden light and breathe.

Breathe in warm softness.

Exhale tension and stress.

The light expanding,

Engulfing your entire abdomen.

Your low back.

Your ribcage.

Your chest.

Your lungs feel the warmth.

Your heart beating,

Bringing with it healing light to your body.

Each exhale letting go of stress.

The rhythm of your breathing and the golden light comforting you.

The light spreading to the shoulders as they relax.

Cold spiraling out around your arms,

Down into your hands,

And glowing out your fingertips.

Your hands sparkling as they glisten in the golden light.

Relax.

You feel warmth in your throat and softness permeating into your face,

Warming your cheeks,

Warming your eyelids,

Illuminating the back of the skull.

The golden ball is surrounding your entire being and you feel so calm.

Breathe in warm softness.

Exhale tension and stress.

The golden light shining out the crown of the head.

Breathe.

You are one with the golden light.

The golden light is one with you.

Now bring your awareness back to your body,

Bring your awareness back to your breath.

When you're ready you can open your eyes.

Namaste.
