This 15 minute guided meditation is meant to help you free your voice and acknowledge your ability to create vibrations in this world. There are a lot of daily distractions that can pull our energy, our awareness, our consciousness into many different directions. The intention of this meditation is to bring you back to your own center. How does it feel to hear and feel your own voice in the world?

Good morning and welcome to the artist morning.

My name is Darius and I'm so excited that we get to spend some time together this morning.

Today's meditation will be on the topic of focus,

Centering,

And helping you find a grounded concentration.

There's a lot that can distract us these days.

I read a stat that the amount of stimulus the average person receives in a single day is equivalent to the amount of stimulus our early ancestors would receive in their entire lifetime.

So yes,

There's a lot that can distract us and pull our energy,

Our awareness,

Our consciousness into many directions.

And so today's practice,

The intention of it is to help bring you back to your own center.

Let's begin our meditation now,

Find a nice comfortable seat with an upright spine if possible sitting calmly with your spine straight up.

And if your eyes are open,

I invite you to close them now as we go inwards together.

Taking a nice deep breath.

Let's begin by just landing.

Feeling the parts of your body that make contact with your seat,

Bringing your awareness to those parts now.

Getting into those parts now,

Into your roots,

Into your sit bone,

Bringing breath,

Life,

And energy into your sit bones now.

And just noticing as you take deeper breaths,

The rising and falling of your own chest,

Of your own belly.

If you're open to it,

If you are ready for it,

There's a tranquil,

Calm,

Soothing rhythm to your own breath this morning.

In and out.

In and out.

And if your mind is racing,

That's okay,

That's what creative minds do sometimes.

Just give your mind some permission to be as it is.

Now we're gonna bring our attention a little deeper into our inner world.

I want you to follow your breath as it hits your nostrils,

As it works its way down your mouth,

Your throat,

And just feel the temperature.

Follow the breath down your throat,

Your lungs.

Feel the sensation inside your chest and belly.

And now I'm going to invite you with your exhale just to make a little noise,

A little vibration,

A little movement made from you,

Started from within inside you,

And feel the reverberation of that action from your voice as it vibrates through your throat,

Your lungs,

And see how far you can take that vibration.

I'll do it with you.

We're gonna take a nice deep breath in.

And just feeling the sensation of your voice this morning,

Whether it was subtle and quiet,

Or a loud roar.

Just getting familiarized with yourself,

Your voice,

And your ability to create vibrations in this world,

No matter how big or small.

One more breath,

Making a noise with your exhale.

I invite you to play with the volume and the frequency of the vibration of your exhale and see if it feels any different.

Allowing a gentle softness to work its way from the top of your head,

Down your neck,

Back,

Feels like a beautiful warm hug from someone you love.

Feel that warmth,

That softness now.

Someone you love that can hold you,

That can hold your energy so you can release and let go just a little more.

Feeling the energy of that safety and security when you are held by someone you love that is strong,

That has capacity,

And has love for all of you.

Feel the energy of that release.

Going in and allowing your exhale to embody the release.

Feeling the wrap around you and just letting go.

Breathing into this person's arms.

Now I want us to take the vibration of our sound to the next level.

It's simple.

I invite you to do a little voice chant with me.

We inhale and then we exhale.

It may be it's early for you and maybe you are not used to the sound of your own voice.

It may be you love the sound of your voice.

Wherever you are at,

This meditation will meet you there.

You can do it very,

Very quiet.

You can build up with the noise.

You can also not make a noise at all and just take in the medicine of my voice into your system.

Allowing all the distractions of the world to fall off and for you to be here with yourself,

With your voice,

Really embodied in your own heart and core.

Join me if you will.

We are going to do a couple more rounds of the deep breath and OM voice.

Breathing in now.

Holding at the top and letting it all go.

Aah.

Aah.
