Good morning and welcome to the artist morning.
My name is Darius and I am so excited,
So grateful that you and I get this time together this morning.
The theme of our meditation today is peace.
The intention of our practice is to allow you to start your day connected to more peace,
Calm and tranquility in your life.
Let's begin our meditation.
If your eyes are open,
I'd like to invite you to close them now as we begin to go inwards together.
Giving yourself a moment to land here in your seat.
Giving yourself a moment to take in what I just said about our meditation and the theme of peace.
Just notice what happens inside when I mention the concept of peace.
Do you feel open to it?
Is there a softening?
Do you feel resistant to it?
Do your walls come up?
A reminder that all answers are acceptable.
A reminder that all of you,
All your feelings,
All your dreams,
All your hopes,
All your fears,
All your mistakes are welcome here.
Let's take a deep breath together.
Holding at the top of our inhale,
Breathing in.
Holding at the top,
Bring your shoulders up and drop your shoulders as you exhale.
We're going to do that two more times.
Breathing in.
Holding at the top and letting it all go.
One last time,
Deepest breath of the day.
Breathing in.
Holding,
Holding,
Holding and letting it all go.
Letting everything down.
Bringing a softness from the top of your head,
Your forehead,
Your cheeks,
Your jaw,
Your nose,
Your neck.
Letting that softness just melt away.
Your tension,
Anything you're holding on your shoulders,
Just let them melt away.
All the way down your torso,
Your pelvic region,
Your thighs,
Your knees,
Your shins just melting away.
Softening.
All the way down into your feet,
Your toes,
Allowing the ground to absorb anything you are ready to let go of.
If there's anything you are holding,
Anything you are ready to let go of with ease,
Let's exhale it out.
Deep breath in.
And just let it go.
Let's take a moment here between songs in the stillness,
In the silence.
You're open to it,
Place one hand on your heart,
One hand on your belly and connect with your heart.
Can you feel your heart beating?
There you are.
There you are.
You and your glorious heart.
Let your hands fall where they'd like to,
Maybe they want to stay on your heart,
Maybe they want to rest on your lap.
It's nice to use breath to let go of energy that no longer serves us.
The intention there is to find calm and ease and peace.
And maybe you found some and maybe you didn't.
Today's practice is intended to connect you to the river of peace that flows endlessly deep inside you.
Maybe you can hear the river flowing now.
Maybe it's clear,
Maybe it's faint.
Maybe you can smell the fresh air from this river of peace that's deep inside you.
Don't overthink it,
Just see if you can notice this fresh air.
This river of peace is endless.
It is infinite.
It brings you access to calm,
Tranquil peace.
I want to invite you to go deeper.
I want to invite you to move towards your own river of peace deep inside you now.
We're gonna have a few minutes here with our own rivers.
You get to choose how you want to interact with it this morning.
How close you want to be to it.
Maybe you'd like to place your hands inside the river,
Your feet.
This river is healing,
It's soothing.
You can wash your face with it.
And if you choose to just sit and watch this river,
Even from a distance.
It will impact you.
The air,
The light,
The sights around this river of peace will impact you.
Take a deep breath here,
Breathing in this healing energy space now.
However you chose to interact with your own river of peace,
My belief is that it will serve you,
It will ground you.
It will help you find your center and find your truth.
Maybe in your life at the moment there's a lot of noise,
A lot of uncertainty,
Maybe even chaos.
And that is the storm.
And storms are a part of life.
The beautiful thing about this river of peace,
It's so deep and so infinite that it's actually never impacted by the storm.
Both can co-exist.
No matter how intense the storm,
If you go deeper into your center,
The river of peace is here for you.
And sooner or later that storm will dissipate and the river of peace will remain.
This is our last song this morning and I want to leave some space for you and your river to play,
To connect,
To interact.
Bravo dear artist.
You made it to the end of our meditation this morning and that is worthy of a celebration.
No matter how far or how deep you went,
How open or resistant you were to your own river of peace this morning,
We made it here.
Let's take a deep breath here together and ground our energy,
Breathing in.
For those of you that are joining us live at the artist's morning,
I'm going to put 20 minutes on the clock and allow us to do some private personal journaling.
If you're catching us on a replay,
Perhaps on insight timer,
Of course you can do the same,
Put some time on your clock.
Thank you for meditating with me this morning.
My name is Darius and I will see you next time.
