Welcome to Meditations with Desi.

My name is Desi Hall and tonight I invite you to visualize yourself in a place of peace.

Tonight I invite you to pray with me and to then gently drift off into sleep.

Wherever you are,

I want you to start by getting comfortable,

Adjusting your body as you need to.

And if at any point during this visualization you need to adjust to make yourself more comfortable,

Do it.

There's no need to be perfectly still.

Now is the time for relaxation.

I want you to take a deep breath,

Breathing into your belly.

And once you fill up your belly with air,

I want you to hold it for a second.

Very good.

Now release it all and a big exhale.

Now let's do it again.

And we're going to breathe in for one,

Two,

Three,

Four.

Now hold your breath for one,

Two,

Three,

Four.

Breathe out for one,

Two,

Three,

Four.

Now hold your breath for one,

Two,

Three,

Four.

Now let's return your breath to normal.

And next time we're going to take in a really big deep breath.

And as we inhale,

I want you to think about all of the things that have happened during your day today.

Think about all of the stresses,

All of the triumphs,

All of the failures,

The regrets that came back from the past,

Anything that came across your mind.

I want you to breathe it all breathe it all into your belly until you can't breathe any more air in.

Let's begin.

And let's breathe in until you're full.

And let's hold all of that for a second at the top of your breath.

And when you exhale,

I want you to push it out as loud and obnoxiously as you can.

Breathe out.

Good job.

I want you to do that again.

And this time,

I want you to think about just releasing and letting all of that go.

All of that stress,

All of the to-do's,

All of the things that you didn't get to.

So let's take it one more big deep breath in,

Breathing into our belly.

And let's hold it and push it all out loud.

Very good.

Now,

I want you to begin picturing yourself.

You're in your favorite pair of pajamas.

You are standing in a field of flowers.

These are your favorite flowers.

If you are allergic to them,

So now,

Tonight,

You're not.

I want you to imagine what the gentle breeze of the wind would feel like against your legs.

Imagine the smell of all the flowers around you.

Inhale the sweetness.

Let this image of the field fill out in your mind.

Fill out in your mind,

What does the sky look like?

Picture a sun setting.

And I want you to picture yourself admiring the flowers,

Leaning down to smell the flowers,

Touching the flowers,

Playing in the flowers.

Spend a second here and admire the beauty of the moment.

The sun starts to set.

With each passing breath,

It moves lower and lower on the horizon.

The sky is filled with beautiful oranges and purples and blues.

Stars start to fill the night sky.

The moon rises.

The glow from the moon illuminates a path to the right of you.

It's adorned with rose quartz,

A lovely,

Relaxing crystal.

Inviting love into your dream space.

Inviting peace into your dream space.

Picture yourself as you begin to walk down the rose quartz path.

The rose quartz is laid out in patterns of four.

As you begin walking down this path,

Let's follow the pattern and breathe in cycles of four.

Breathe in for one,

Two,

Three,

Four.

Hold your breath for one,

Two,

Three,

Four.

Breathe out for one,

Two,

Three,

Four.

Hold your breath for one,

Two,

Three,

Four.

You look down at the ground and then you look up and you realize that the field of flowers is a bit back.

You've been breathing for a second,

But you've been walking even further.

You notice up ahead a big,

Fluffy,

Soft,

Inviting cloud.

It's bouncy and incredibly comfortable.

I want you to walk closer towards the cloud.

As you get closer,

You notice that this cloud is in the shape of a bed.

As you look at it,

It looks like it's made perfectly for your body.

I want you to walk up to the cloud,

Feel it out,

And then I want you to picture yourself getting into the bed and resting.

Feel your body as you sink into this cloud bed.

The whisper of the wind sends a chill down your spine,

But this cloud bed also has a cloud blanket for you.

You just pull it over you and now the stars twinkle all around you.

They dance and give you a show.

They want to make sure that you go to sleep happy and entertained.

Benevolent Ancestors,

Creator,

I thank you for this moment,

This moment where we get to be in the clouds and rest.

As we drift off to sleep,

I pray that you protect us.

I pray that you keep us safe.

I pray that you protect our hope for a new day.

I pray that you protect our desires,

Our dreams for our life.

I pray that life doesn't wear us down.

I pray that as we rest tonight,

We wake up tomorrow replenished,

Able to take on whatever comes our way.

I pray that just as we're taking this moment before we sleep,

That we take moments tomorrow to replenish ourselves,

To refocus ourselves,

To recalibrate ourselves,

Whatever it is that we need to do to get back to center.

May you provide the space and the courage for us to do so.

May this sleep be restful.

May we wake up feeling better than we did going to sleep.

I have no idea what the future may hold,

Nor can I answer to the meaning of everything that has happened in the past.

But what I do know in this moment is that I deserve peace,

I deserve rest,

And I deserve the chance to begin again.

And that is what this sleep represents,

The chance to begin again.

I pray against all nightmares,

All dream killers,

All night terrors.

I pray against sleep paralysis.

I pray against anything that would interrupt the perfect peace that I am calling forth for my bedtime.

I pray that as I sleep,

Angels pray sweet prayers over me,

Prayers of protection,

Prayers of prosperity,

Prayers of good health,

Prayers of motivation,

Prayers of connectedness,

Prayers of community,

Prayers of positivity,

Prayers of visualization,

Prayers for a vision for my life that is bigger than I am,

Bigger than the dreams that I have set forth for myself.

I pray that as I sleep,

All things good are prayed over me.

I want you to feel the cloud cradling your body,

Moving up and down from head to toe,

Releasing tension.

Picture the cloud starting at the top of your head,

Moving the tension away from it.

As the cloud reaches an area of your body,

I want you to squeeze it and then let it go.

As the cloud passes over your shoulders blades,

Tighten them,

Tense them up as tight as you can,

And then let them go.

As it passes over your arms,

I want you to squeeze them,

Tensing them up and then letting them go.

As the clouds pass over your belly,

I want you to squeeze your abdomen,

Pulling all that tension in and then releasing it.

As it moves down to your lower body,

Squeeze your bottom,

Squeeze your thighs,

Squeeze your knees,

Squeeze your calves,

Squeeze your entire lower body and hold that tension and now release it.

This cloud,

This sanctuary in the sky,

This is a place that I invite you to come.

I implore you to come when sleep escapes you,

When there is a storm below,

When it is raining,

I invite you to come to the cloud and rest.

No matter what happens,

No matter what you are going through,

You will confront it a lot better with a restful night's sleep.

I pray that this visualization gave you what you needed and that by now you are fast asleep.
