Good morning.
Thank you for joining me today to this morning meditation.
I invite you to come into a comfortable space for the next few moments.
Whatever this might be for you in this moment.
Good.
Now when you're ready,
Allow the eyes to close and draw your left hand to your heart and your right hand right on top of it.
And just begin by hearing any of the sounds that are around you or maybe in this meditation.
Start to draw the attention inwards,
Shifting to your breath,
Just noticing this morning where your breath lies.
Maybe the breath is in the belly or the chest.
And just allow your awareness this morning to slow the breath down,
Keeping it steady and rhythmic and soft.
On your next in-breath,
Begin to bring the awareness down to the heart.
The space where we hold our hands and if you will,
Begin to imagine a color in this space.
It can be whatever color comes to mind.
Imagine this color as warm and inviting.
Imagine your body accepting this color,
Gently filling the space around the heart.
Now as you continue the awareness on this color,
I invite you to release your hands down to your lap.
And if it's comfortable,
Flip the palms up towards the sky.
Keep the awareness on that light and imagine the light begin to grow,
Spreading out through the chest and the arms and down through the sacrum and the legs.
Imagine this color spreading upwards through the top of the chest all the way up to the crown of the head.
Let this color fill the body.
Let this color resonate with warmth and light and positivity.
Letting go of yesterday and being here in this present moment this morning,
I invite you to go forward with your light,
Spreading it to the ends of the earth and making the most of this beautiful day.
Slowly shift the attention now back to your breath and when you're ready,
Go ahead and open your eyes.
Maybe bring a smile to the mouth.
