Hello friend,
Welcome in.
I'm guessing you're here because your mind has been rather busy for the next five minutes we're together.
I'm going to help you to just create a little bit of space for that overacting mind of yours.
So get comfortable in whatever position feels best for you and let's get started.
Let's just begin by rotating the shoulders,
Kind of bringing them up towards your ears,
Back and down and around if you're upright.
And if you're reclining,
Maybe just gently turn your head from side to side,
Slightly dipping your chin down towards one shoulder.
And then as you go to the other side,
The other one,
And deepening the breath as you're doing these gentle movements.
And by just focusing on your body and your breath,
You're beginning to release some of all that's been happening in your mind.
And then we'll come into home base.
So placing one hand over your chest and the other hand over your solar plexus,
Just above your navel.
And let's take three centering breaths together.
A nice deep inhalation through the nose and a slow exhalation through your mouth.
And again,
Inhaling deeply through your nose and a slow exhalation through the mouth.
And one more intentional breath together,
Deep breath in.
This time,
Hold at the top of your breath,
Press gently into the palms of your hands,
Into your chest and solar plexus,
And then a slow exhale,
Letting it all out as you arrive in a new position,
Maybe with just a little more space within the mental chatter.
And I'm going to invite you to just drop into your body right now.
Maybe just scan your body and see what you notice happening in your body.
That could be tension somewhere or tightness or tingling or pulsing or temperature or discomfort.
You're just being the observer.
You're just noticing whatever's happening in your body,
Not your mind,
But your body.
And on the next breath in,
Imagine just a beautiful healing white light coming in to every cell of your body.
You are directing it with your breath.
And as it comes in,
Imagine it coming down from above the crown of your head and clearing out any mental clutter in your brain,
In your mind,
And replenishing every cell of your being with fresh oxygen,
Expanding and creating more space for insight and opportunity to flow in.
You see,
When we are so caught up in the overthinking mind,
We're missing the opportunity to open up to what the universe has for us,
For what breadcrumbs might be around for us to follow.
We're too busy trying to figure out and fix and control,
And that's a very contracting energy.
So when we can drop into the body and breathe in expansion and space,
We open ourselves up to so much more.
