Hello and welcome.
I'm so glad you're here.
You have probably found this recording perhaps because you were searching for something to calm your nerves,
To regulate your nervous system,
And we're just going to be together for a few minutes taking the time to do just that.
So wherever you are,
Whether you're sitting or reclining,
I'm going to invite you to just begin by tuning in to your body and noticing the support underneath you.
See if you can feel the touch points of where your body is meeting the surface below you.
The bottoms of your feet or ankles,
The backs of your legs,
Your hips,
Pelvis,
Buttocks,
Spine,
Back muscles,
Backs of shoulders,
Perhaps even the back of your head,
And anywhere else you notice your body supported and touching a firm surface.
So tuning in,
Just body awareness,
And holding the intention to let go of any stories that might be looping in your mind,
To let go of any drama or feelings of overwhelm,
Stress,
Tension.
As you tune into your breath now,
Breathing in through your nose,
If that's available,
And then a slower exhale through your mouth.
As you continue to consciously breathe,
I'm going to invite you to attach a color to your exhale,
And that's the color of stress,
Overwhelm,
Nervousness,
Anxiousness,
Anything that's not feeling good in your body or in your mind.
And see if you can see it or feel it leaving your body with your exhale,
Just as if you were blowing out smoke.
And on your inhale,
Breathing in,
Attaching a color of clarity and calm as you inhale,
Bringing that color in,
Almost as if you were taking a breath outside on a really cold day,
And letting go of all that is not serving you in this moment in time.
Just following the rhythm of your breath,
Cycling between inhaling clarity and calm,
And letting go of stress,
Overwhelm,
Tension,
Trauma,
Fear,
Doubt.
All we have is the present moment.
Notice.
Take a breath in,
And then hold at the top of your inhalation just for a moment in that space of stillness,
And then exhale,
And hold in the emptiness,
In the letting go before your next breath is drawn in.
Breathe in,
Hold,
Pause again in the stillness.
Perhaps you notice your heart beating,
And let go of the breath,
Pausing again.
Breathe in,
Pause in the stillness,
In the stillness,
The pause before the next breath in.
Beautiful.
And feel your body starting to settle and calm,
Even if it's only 1% more than when we began.
You can come back to this recording and play it as many times as you need to,
Or in your mind's eye whenever you're feeling stressed,
Anxious,
Overwhelmed,
Again,
Attaching a color to those feelings,
Those negative emotions,
And holding that intention to exhale them right out of your body as you breathe in the color of calm and clarity.
Perhaps that's blue or white,
Or maybe even another color that resonates with you.
There's no right or wrong,
And there's no good or bad.
Everything just is.
Thank you for joining me,
And I wish you a wonderful rest of your day or evening.
Take care.
