Notice the breath coming in and out through the nose.
Or it may come in through the nose and out through the mouth.
Allow the breath to slow.
You may even choose to count your inhalation time as well as your exhalation time.
Feel your body beginning to soften.
And as you feel the body begin to soften,
Just notice any areas that are still having to work.
And see if you can find a way to let those go.
It's like layers of an onion.
We notice one layer able to let go.
Ah,
There's another layer letting it go.
There's another layer letting go.
Deeper and deeper relaxation is allowed.
Feel the eyes getting heavy.
Feel the tongue getting heavy.
Feel the weight of the brain,
All of that beautiful creativity and power and thought,
That central computer system,
Let that get heavy and just let go.
Feel the lungs becoming light as each new breath you take,
Every little piece of that lung is being filled with new breath,
New opportunity.
Sense the heart softening.
We are actually able to control our heart rate,
To control our body temperature,
To control our response with this practice.
Sense all of the internal organs of the stomach,
The abdomen,
The stomach,
The intestines,
The liver,
Bladder,
Bowel.
Notice the legs becoming heavy.
Just completely letting go and softening.
Then visualize now within your core,
Whatever that means to you.
It might be the heart.
It might be the area of the pelvic bowl or somewhere else.
But visualize at that core with every breath in that you take is being fed self-care.
It's being fed those things on the list that you need.
Fire,
Time and space for yourself,
Listening to music.
You're feeding that.
Visualize that that light of that fire is just getting bigger and bigger to where your whole body is warm,
Nourished,
Safe.
Completely filled with that which nourishes you.
And knowing with any and all that you do,
This light is growing.
It will look different on different days,
Different months,
Different years.
And that's what it's like being in the flow,
Going with the flow.
Keeping the eyes closed,
Begin moving the fingertips and the toes.
Maybe gently bending the elbows or the knees or rocking the knees from side to side,
Perhaps deepening your breath.
When you're ready,
Coming to your right side if that's available to you,
Still with the eyes closed,
Waking up slow,
And then from there,
Coming into sitting.
Still with the eyes closed as we are just gently allowing the nervous system to reintegrate.
Once you get into sitting,
Just take a few moments to notice.
Allow a smile to come across your heart.
Allow a smile to come across your face.
Allow a smile to come across that whole pelvic bowl.
